I am most looking forward to not being afraid to open a bank statement. I also want to be able to go into a shop and buy something with my debit card without always worrying whether there's enough in the account. Also getting to the end of the month without using the overdraft.

Gonna take another 3 years but I will get there.

I will be debt free apart from an interest free loan/gift from my mum of 5k -she says gift I say loan, but either way I know she wont take any money off my for a few years so I am discounting this for now and a rather larger mortgage of £152k which is interest only.

So to be depressingly honest, I shall still be up to my eyes in debt even if that debt is a mortgage! I will be doing 3 new things though, opening up an ISA and having some rainy day savings, having some savings for yearly spends (car insurance/holiday/special days out) and making some mortgage overpayments.

I know its not very exciting but I have a huge mortgage all to myself and I need some security and some hope of paying it off!

I have a long list but I'll only mention a few:
    1. Spending my OWN money and not money from my bank or the credit card companies.
    2. Having savings
    3. Increased contribution to my pension fund

getting my hair cut and styled regularly and maybe have my nails done as well! oh and getting a new wardrobe to go with my hopefully new slim self!! the list could go on and on but tbh not having to budget for everything even for just 1 month would be bliss... to buy what we want when we want and even treat ourselves to a nice meal in a lovely restaurant!!

When I get debt free will do the loudest scream know to man kind!
Being able to see saving grow, so we have more to leave for our children.
Add on morgage and reduce this quicker, still have 17 years to pay this.
    Take more holiday/weekend breaks away.
