    Hi everyone,

Thanks for asking about the HHC pigpen. You achieved an incredible amount.
I had to dash out the door after the half hour to collect DD and have only just got back.

    In that half hour I:

    emptied the TD
put some more towels in TD
    stripped the bed
    vacuumed the mattress
    Re-made the bed
Opened and read a letter, and shredded the envelope
packed my bag for collecting DD (car keys etc)
    checked the fire alarms
Dusted and de-cobwebbed the whole bedroom

    :T

It's amazing what can be achieved in just half an hour - I'm a convert. Now that the gannet DD is happily munching through the larder, I'll get stuck into some more!

How did you get on gunsandbanjos?

Not too bad rumbly thanks for asking, hallway hoovered and mirrors done. Washing hung up, TD on, muddy kit soaked in bath. Bath cleaned after muddy kit out:o Just eaten my dinner(leftovers from last night so no dishes;) ) Not doing my bedding today as i had more pressing laundry stuff needing done. Still need to do monkeys bed before 7pm when she goes to bed, as its a little wet from last night.

Well in my half hour I

Did breakfast dishes:eek: (see that is how bad i have been, its the first time they have EVER been left so long)
    S & S Kitchen
    Recycling stuff put out
    Tidied lounge
Relocated littles toys to their room
Moved ironing pile from couch to basket (more to do later so will put it all away in one blast tomorrow - honest:o )
Sent quick text to mum letting her know I am still alive (she had text me 2 hours before and i hadnt replied so got sent the "is everything ok text"
Scrubbed at the bottom of the iron with vinegar (thanks lil_me) and scrunched up foil (read that somewhere once, I think:confused: ) Seems to be coming off but stuff left behind will have another bash later.

    Plan for tonight

    Tea
    Kitchen
    Bath littles
    Littles to bed
Me - shower and wash hair
    Ironing
Work out plan for next few months for me.

Have decided to put job hunting on hold until a. I have passed my driving test as this will open up more opportunitites. b. Wait till DD2 starts school in Sept (although she will be half days for a while as not 5 till following june). This will mean childcare costs will not be so high and i could budget for it by putting x amount away each month to cover the holiday costs.

It is so cold here this evening, must pop the room thermometer up to tropical setting (also need to take meter readings and do them online to powergen.

Rumbly.. that is a lot for your first HHC.. Well done.. you should be proud.. now you've done one.. you have to do a million more!! I find them SO effective :D .. maybe that's because I am a competative lazy cow!! lol I can't stand to be left out either.

In the last half hour I have peeled 10lb of potatoes.. half for today.. and half for tomorrow!!!
    sorted pack ups for tomorrow
    got dinner in
    cleared the table....and...

    NOT FOLDED THE WASHING!!!!!!! lol

DS1 has noticed I've mucked out his bedroom.. pmsl.. only because he fell in the door trying to step over junk that is no longer there!! Apparently he needed that rubbish!! shouldn't be on the floor then should it?? I only filled a bag of rubbish a bga of recycleables and a laundry basket.. none of his things were thrown out or moved.. it has exposed the carpet though.

NOW I AM GOING TO FOLD SOME STUFF!!

    pmsl pigpen! :rotfl:

I don't think it's a competitive thing for me, it just makes it all that much more bearable to know that someone else somewhere is doing something similar! I also noticed that it really made me focus on getting stuff done. I don't think I realised how easily sidetracked I am! :o

Well done shell, you did loads! :T

Welcome Mumzyof2 you'll find us a friendly - if busy - bunch. If you follow the fly lady threads, if you're anything like me, you'll find you won't recognise your place. It's a real motiviation and lots of support.

Something for pudding today? How about a nice apple crumble with custard? Just the right sort of thing for a breezy winter's day.

And well done on making your own ice cream. That was one of the items on my Christmas present list - an ice cream maker - but Santa didn't pay attention to that particular one!

    Evening ladies,

Another day's work, another couple of dollars in the bank account. Fairly quiet day on the whole but productive. We're a man down on the team at the moment and are trying to recruit so part of the day was taken up phoning potential candidates .

It's very wearing really. We're after a particular type of specialist freelancer in a particularly specialist field. All the good ones tend to be snapped up already so there's often only the less qualified or unsuitable available. We've taken to phoning people first before bringing them in for interview due to having wasted a lot of time on face to face interviews in the past! One we'll call into a face to face, the other we won't. We've a couple more phone calls to make tomorrow. So face to faces will be early next week I think.

Looking at my list, I'm not doing too badly:
