    Afternoon

Maralum so pleased your hubbie is back in work and well done you for getting involved in your community. Our school is setting up a children's centre. It is not really being well received because they are useless at telling people what it is or what is going on/who pays for it so people make up what they think.

I can't offer tips as to what I would have wanted as I was lucky to have friends with little ones so spent horus at toddler groups/nct coffee mornings ect. Could you set up a PND support group? Breastfeeding advise? Real nappy information? toy library? I don't know how big your town is or what else is on offer?

Going to put chook in and finish sorting bits of paper on the table, then find some clean bed linen for later.

Maralum - great news about DH. Think your centre sounds fab, have you had the local papers in to do an article? maybe do flyers to hand out at doctors surgery, baby clinics etc?

Thanks! DH will be back in about an hour, so fingers crossed it went ok. The centre IS fab. I was in the paper to get some attention for our breastfeeding club a couple of months ago, but we mostly meet parents through the health visitors who work next door.

    Oh bum, baby crying.

House is looking less hovel like:D Got all my washing hung up, TD is on. My kit from last night needed rinsed in the bath before i even put it in my WM:eek: I think i brought half the pitch home with me:o Then i had to clean the bath, cos it was covered in mud. Hallway hoovered, and mirrors cleaned. Neck is aching again and giving me a monster headache, getting a little grumpy.

Thanks for the ideas dusty, especially the toy library! We have a BF support group and my friend is just starting a shop that sells real nappies at lower prices, (they really are a shockingly expensive initial investment!) that also supplies eco-friendly baby clothes and washing supplies.

Exeter's pretty big, but a little backward I'm afraid. A big town with a small mind, IYKWIM.

LJD glad birthday is going well and your hubby made it home to see ds face.
All others with aches and pains hope the meds are working.

Hubby has just phoned to say that the forth bridge has been closed with some minor structure damage which they cant fix until the winds have died down to 30mph (from the current 80-90!!), so he's not sure when he will get home, he can go the long (land) way round but last heard there were 6 miles of tail backs that way:eek:

Anyway my catch up list for today (sorry lil_me I need to swap days and do the bathroom today and master bedroom tomorrow my room needs the more time)

Right I have until 2.40 to tackle as much on here as possible, see you all later.

managed to cross off some things before heading to get the girls, just about to start tea as they need an early one before the older one heads off for her piano lesson will need to stay the half hour as hubby who normally collects her will not be home. The bridge is stillhome but is is heading for the train station to try his luck there fortunately we live beside the local station so he doesn't have much of a travel this end.

will set to with more flying after tea and update later.

Thursdays delightful challenges posted, mostly based on what really needs doing in my house :o icky yak yak! I've added HHC to the list of commonly used terms :D

Maralum, please pass on my congratulations to your partner, I hope it goes really well for him, I'm grinning like this >>:D so goodness knows how good it must be making you feel.

I must confess the half hour challenge started with me going back to bed :o but I did an hour in there after I got back up. Need to find the spare bed linen if I want to avoid using the TD so will do that next. DP has been very helpful, we had some things left to do in the conservatory which he's helped with and he's vacuumed the sitting room, after weeks of being no help at all it's nice, but weird.

Just had a call from Southern Electric to say I signed up on time for the pricecapped service confirmed which I am really pleased about with the price hikes being confirmed. I've emailed Silent Night about the mattress.

I best go find the linen and feed DS1, we're eating later.
One day I might be more organised...........
