I've found pyrex dishes half price in Woolworths and Morrisons in the sales. It the type of stuff they buy in specially so there should be loads available.0

Do the supermarkets not sell some? Our Tescos certainly does, and I seem to remember seeing an offer back in the summer at the Lidls near ny sister. Woolworths used to stock a reasonable range too.
However, I'd recommend you buy the best quality you can afford. When I was first married I got through cheap baking trays and tartlet pans very quickly - they eventually buckled in the heat. About 20 years ago I invested in some pricey ones (recommended by Delia Smith!) and they are still doing sterling service.Resolution:

You could look in TKMax. I bought a Mermaid brownie tin recently for half its normal price. It's a really good solid one, no buckling, and will last years. It's an anodised one with no non-stick coating too so nothing to wear off. It works just as well though (better in my opinion). I agree with beemuzed - don't buy cheap ones because you will end up having to replace them. Buy cheap, buy twice is my motto (mind you I don't always stick to it, and end up paying for it!)0

Wilkinson's had glassware, similar to Pyrex, on special offer last week.
I like black enamel tins for roasting etc. (I tend to be a bit heavy-handed with proper non-stick stuff and end up ruining the surface!) A large roasting tin can cost £7-10 but will last for ever, it's dishwasher-proof and it can be used in the oven or on the hob"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -

I bought 3 casserole type dishes(1,2 & 3 ltr) from wilkos for £5 and a lasagne type dish for £1.99 in the online sale last week - delivery was £2.95 I think but was ordering some furniture too so was worth it.0 -
i've just got a antony worral thompson baking tray in tesco. it was £7.99 on half price offer at £3.99. but reduced down to £1.99.
It only just fits in my oven tho as it is 43cm wide , but it is really sturdy.
they also had AWT roasting tin's , but had none left.
So might be worth popping into a tesco soon.0
