Try one more application, then leave it. Use an eligibility checker and don't apply for the best offer.

Go to the DFW boards for advice on cutting costs.

I just tried Tesco - accepted but they didn't support a Barclaycard transfer. Barclaycard have wrecked my credit and I feel trapped. I really wanted to avoid DMP but I'm guessing that's my only option really...

Barclaycard haven't wrecked your credit. Only you can do that.

Why did they say you can't BT? There's no reason for it not to go through.

It wouldn't accept the card number; "we either don't support that transfer or the details are wrong..."

Good Afternoon, I have only just come back to MSE after realizing i'm still in the same debt as i was at 40, i have only been paying the minimum payments. Im now 52 and working full time, family have grown and DH earning more.

DH has 3 Credit Cards which he is paying about £40/each/month interest on. We are hoping to move all 3 amounts to a Lloyds CC which we have available. The total amount is £7980.00.

    Which would be best?

    0% interest p.a over 12 months with 3% fee.
    or
    4.9% interest p.a over 36 months 0% fee.

We could not clear this in 12 months but could possibly have CC to move again.

    Thank you for reading Sarah

    Any advice please
I have paid off my credit card which is with MBNA but occasionally use it but pay off immediately.
I  have.been paying a low monthly payment for my car i got nesrly 3 yeats ago and am due to pay the final one off payment of £4000  in may,
I could pay this in cash ( I wish to keep this car)  but I have been thinking of getting a 0% card so I could pay this over the 0% period ( I done a soft search and it's indicated I will be accepted for 0% 29 months)
Is this called a Money transfer that I ask for ?   If so my thinking would be to use the money they put into my  bank tnen pay off the car with it and use my savings to pay for much needed home improvements.
Really appreciate confirmation as want to do it next week or so.

    Hi
I have a MetroBank Credit Card and applied and got a M&S 0% Transfer Credit Card with the aim of transfering from Metro Bank and paying off the remaining money over the 0% balance period. However today, M&S have rejected the transfer as they 'do not deal with MetroBank'. Is this correct? If so how do I see clarity on other providers that would balance transfer from MetroBank?

    Thanks in advance
    Kev

I am pretty sure you would need a card with a promotional money transfer 0% APR offer.  :)
