Can it be as simple as that??!
I've never been stopped from doing what were effectively repeat balance transfers, so you're probably okay.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Nice one, thanks. The terms and conditions weren't overly clear on the matter.0 -
I'm at a loss as to why anyone with over £1,500 balance is advised not to use the MBNA (1.9%fee) I want to transfer about £4,300 with repayments set at £350. The other option is the Barclaycard Plat. 22mths 0% but the fee is higher. Any suggestions?:money:0

Hi all, new to the site and looking for some sound advice on the following.
My partner's looking to do a balance transfer of about £3700 and seen the Barclaycard Platinum with 22 months 0% and 2.9% fee. Seems like the best deal for what she's after but checking out the requirements and noticed it says £20000 min income. Does anyone know if this is for a combined income or individual?0 -
thanks for the informatve ideas!MeticulousMe:j0

I'm planning to pay for my travel to Oz with a Barclaycard I use rarely.MBNA have offered me zero interest balance transfer until Sep 2012.
My question is do any consumer protection I might have through paying with the Barclaycard automatically cease upon transfer?0 -
Hi,
I've received a 20 month interest-free Barclays card in order to transfer balance of £1500 from Very account, which charges me 39.7 APR. When I called Barcleays to transfer the balance they refused me saying they only transfer balance from actual cards, which Very doesn't give - I just have an account. Been paying faithfully, probably because have a history of being very unwise when it comes to money. I'd love to stop "feeding" Very the 39.7 APR with my hard-earned cash, but don't know how, can anybody help?0 -

Someone will probably be along to better advise but ( not knowing what a very account is ) I think you can get cards that allow BT's from ( or is it to) bank accounts .. Or if you had a seperate card could you pay off the Very account with it then do the BT using that card and the new Barclays one0 -

You may need a purchase card to settle the account, but never had a very account so not 100% sure.Wife had next account with high apr and we used a purchase card to settle the bill.
Good luck.I have a deep burning indifference0 -
Hopefully someone can advise me on a problem I'm having.
I have hree debts:
Santander CC : £500
BoS Preference CC: £1,500
Virgin CC: £11,000
Now, about 6 months ago I agree to close the Virgin account to freeze the interest rate (28%), so I don't have a valid card any more.
I got approved for a Barclaycard for £16,000 available.
They are unable to do a balance transfer to my Virgin card, as they insist they need a valid card.
I tried to transfer £13k to my Santander CC, with the intention of moving the money on to Virgin CC, but found out later that they won't allow my account to go into positive by anything over £200. So they had to reject the Balance Transfer and send it back (that was 7 days ago, still not arrived back).
I have rang BoS and they also say they would put a stop on a CC account that goes into credit by a big amount.
Can anyone advise on how I can go about getting my Virgin balance paid off with this money from Barclaycard, I'm really at a loss what to do!!
thanks in advance0
