    Afternoon all,

I have just finished catching up so apologies if I miss acknowledging something that I should. Huge hugs to MadamMim firstly. YL, Oh the joys of countryside living. I can sympathise and have often turned out when it’s past my “bedtime”, but at least I know that DD and her friends are safe and have transport home. Very envious of a coastal visit as it is a real trek from here to any coastline. Glad to hear that the clips are out, Round. Remember, rest and recuperation are the order of the day. Don’t make me get my waggy finger out.

Yesterday we made a convoy to move DD to her new house and new city. A bit emotional as it was like 5 years ago all over again, but this time she is a 3-4 hour drive away and not the 1 hour of the previous uni city. I waved vaguely in Iona’s direction as we trekked back down the (very quiet, thankfully) M5 yesterday evening. The house is very empty this morning, although you would think that I was used to it by now. I have taken the opportunity of a cleared out bedroom to thoroughly vacuum it, wipe surfaces, water the remaining houseplants, wash anything that was left and generally spring clean the room. I emptied the vacuum cleaner twice, and the room didn't even look that dusty! The 3rd and final load is currently swishing in the wm then I am hoping for a bit of sun bleaching on some of the items.

I should have gone to the allotment this morning, but enthusiasm has waned before it got going. That is now pushed to tomorrow’s list, unless it rains….!!

I had a lovely relaxing start on Saturday with coffee in the garden. Garden watering completed and I then ended up finishing the nordic noir series (Netflix with subtitles), and managed to read some more of my book.

I was energised for Sunday morning and, as it was a bit cooler, after morning coffee I did a bit of weeding and finished off deadheading the rose. Moved inside to sort through some clothes for the charity shop and now have 3 bags ready. Listed an item for sale locally, and did a little more organising of my craft stash.

Started Series 2 of the nordic noir, and managed a whole chapter of my book - I'm really getting back into reading again. Bit of Sunday radio and feeling relaxed again. Off to the CS tomorrow, and a trip to the recycling centre is on the cards too.

ETA - I've just realised that Saturday I was SOAADFA - starting to get the hang of this 😁😂 (amazing what you can do when the other half is away).
