Halloo
I'm home.
Filled the birdbath and the hedgehog's dish which were both bone dry.
Contacted GP Surgery to make an appointment for the removal of my staples on Friday.
Removed my identity bracelets and numerous tapes covering injection points.
Unpacked my overnight bag. Contents ready to go upstairs and be put away.
Macaroni cheese and trifle have been savoured.
J is bringing Sassy home after work tonight.
Time for a snooze methinks.

There's no place like home Round x
I cut the grass this morning and edged it, weeded and swept up. Then made DH sort out books and we now have six bags to go to the charity shop. Some pouting involved. Next I cleaned all the bedrooms. And of course all the usual cooking and cleaning. I did get an hour in the garden this afternoon to read, it was a nice sunny day with a refreshing breeze (I still sat in the shade though).

glad you are home Round.
Bathroom cleaning done.
The tubs, jars and Tupperware drawers cleaned and tidy. It's much easier to fit things in methodically instead of cramming them in and hoping for the best. I'll learn that lesson one day 🤦♀️
Sympathy card written and posted.

i have emptied dw, dried my swim stuff, loaded wm. Been to vol. job. Popped to town and picked up a gel eye mask from savers - oh the bliss of something cool and soothing on my itchy eyes. £1 and it's back in the fridge cooling for tomorrow.

I intended to post yesterday, but I think it slipped through the net. Obviously now I can’t remember what I did, if anything. I watered the allotment, less and less as the dry weeks go on and on. Went into the loft to give DH a hand at getting DD’s household stuff down. DD came home and we spent a couple of hours starting to pack up what she might need when she moves out at the weekend. As she will now be 4 hours away, it’s not as simple as a 45 minute trip down the motorway when she finds that she has forgotten something. I also started a bit of admin, mainly for DD, including the dreaded and hated car insurance renewal.
This morning, I have 2 out of 3 loads through the wm, have WULTD, watered a couple of wilting pots in the garden, and dropped DH at the station for his day out in the city with friends. DD is off later but in the meantime we have to go through some more admin (includimg HMRC, ranking down there with the car insurance). I had thought that I was home alone with just my curtain material for company. I might manage to get the shower and the downstairs toilet cleaned as per the list if I get a shuffle on.
Glad to hear that Round is home. Now it’s rest and recuperation, young lady, no shenanighans please!4 -
Well I don't know about you lot but I am still struggling with the heat though I has to pull a duvet over me in the night as my hip was protesting as being chilly (my hips HATE being cold).
I've tried to get a couple of broken bracelet clasps repaired but the company that makes them don't do repairs - so they might well find their way into a VCC box. I've got the massive pizza plates out of the cupboard where they live at the bottom of a pile and I will move them into a cupboard in the dining room where a big roasting dish and a meatplate (both Denby) live and this means they will be used. Mum and SD used to bring really good and useful souvenirs back from Italy - I also had a tablecloth and napkins and a gorgeous handbag - but these plates weren't being used because of where they were. I had pizza for tea. (YS, M&S)
I've got some washing to peg out but need to get it in when just damp as it's cotton/linen and I want to iron it.

Very glad to hear that you are back home, round. Please allow yourself plenty of rest and time to heal xx
Happy new home to your DD, Fayolle x
I hope you are feeling less frazzled today, HB x
The migraine which ruined my plans for the weekend and was still grumbling on Monday fortunately disappeared overnight, so I was able to drive us to South Wales and back yesterday for the funeral. The crematorium's large chapel was packed - standing room only - and it was one of the best non-religious funerals that I have ever attended (apart from lots of heavy metal music, but that was the deceased's favourite so I concentrated on the photos instead). We stayed for just over an hour at the wake and then had a 4-hour journey home, avoiding a 50-minute delay caused by roadworks on the motorway by taking the slightly longer but easier scenic route.
Rosie repaid me for her extra holiday with L by waking me up at 4.00 this morning, wanting to go in the garden. If she had just pushed the LR door she could have got out by herself - DH closed the curtains last night, and when I went to open them this morning the door was unlocked, with the key still in it, and ajar. I was not exactly happy with DH about that because our garden backs onto a lane and there are people walking along there at all hours of the day and night who might want to find an easy way in.
I have tidied away the breakfast detritus in the kitchen, loaded the DW and WUPA the rest, and hoovered all through downstairs. I've also made an appointment for Rosie with the vet tomorrow, as she is running out of her meds and needs a check-up before she can have a repeat prescription.
Next I need to shower and dress (yes, I know it's late, but I didn't finally wake up until 9.10 and my pj's are cool), and then I have to make some phonecalls, send some messages/emails, and do some filing. I also need to get milk and some orange cardboard (think manufacturers' packaging for crisp packets) from MrAl or MrLi. However, I shall permit myself more zzz this afternoon in the hopes of warding off a return of the migraine - they usually happen when I am overtired.

Ahhhh. Never underestimate the comfort of your own bed. I woke up in the night and enjoyed the silence. Bliss.
Up at 7 to take my new meds then waited 60 minutes to have my first brew and my usual meds. Made my bed and turned over the calendars.
I'm sore and I'm tired so a relaxing day at home with Nurse Sassy is the order of the day.
A knock at the door and:
What a wonderful surprise. Made me fill up a little. Thank you so much. Although I hope I didn't traumatise the young lady who delivered them. Oversized t shirt, surgical stockings, and transparent dressing on my throat wound - hmmm. Oooops.
Thank you. They're beautiful 😍

Felt bad that the birdbath was dry so I put my coat over my t shirt and filled the birdbath/ fed the birds. Any neighbours that saw me will recover in time. 😂
I've also filled the hedgehog's dish and put out the recycling.
