Ukstatics.com is the site I'm afraid I can't leave links yet

This is their official site. There are no items currently for sale. The account is made up of mostly positives for purchases and negatives for sales.

I know their names and unfortunately I don't live close by.

I have the bank details also. They have been trying to stop me from messaging through ebay several times but I have done so on purpose.

EBay has closed the case at their end so I have been emailing and ringing to no avail.

So they're officially identified as UK STATIC CARAVANS LTD? You're not just assuming its them because of their user name?

I dont think a company can registered a private account on eBay so trying to align the company as a seller but a private seller account.

Do the names and/or address match the details on the Companies House link that eskbanker posted?

Was the bank account you paid into a personal or a business account? (you'd have had to specify to run the CoP check)

If you have the name and address of the business to which you sent the money, send them a letter before action. Don't bother with recorded delivery, it's unnecessary and just makes it easier for them to reject it if they're minded to.

It may stir some action. If it doesnt, you'll need to follow through with court action. It will take time and there's no certainty they'll pay even if you win, but I don't see what other option you have.

For ‘them’ I’d read ‘him’ - a one man band knocking out ‘end of life’ caravans from Skegness.

Not sure where you were planning on having it delivered but £1145 buys you very little inc. delivery. He’ll have bought for £500, stripped out anything worth having and dragged what’s left to you.

Good luck but I wouldn’t be banking on any of your money back
