Refund withheld illegally

I bought a mobile home in May via eBay but paid by bank transfer ( I know big mistake). 1145 plus 200 for delivery.

The company seemed to check out OK. Before delivery took place, I needed to cancel. They told me I was then told refunds werent company policy. I checked by distance selling regulations that they absolutely have a legal responsibility to do so.

Since then I've had no help from Ebay and the seller is not answering emails or phone calls.

What can I do next ?

Is the seller a legit company and still trading?

In what way are Ebay being unhelpful?

Is the mobile home still being delivered or has it been?

What sort? Probably one bought with a down payment of £1145 followed by a series of installments.

The legal status of that £1145 will be important. Is it first payment, consideration to confirm the contract, reservation fee, etc.?

Yes the company is still trading im happy to name them if anyone wants to know.

Ebay can't do anything because the transaction was done by bank transfer. Even tho I have argued that they still have some responsibility for what happens on their platform, apparently not.

The mobile home was never delivered. They have that and my money atm
