DH has hypothyroidism (NIL thyroid activity), and that entitles him to free prescriptions.
I have blood cancer, and knew that that meant I qualified for free prescriptions, but what I didn't know until this month that I had to fill out an exemption form.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1 -

Having a lovely time so far, spent yesterday chilling. I can’t actually be out in the sun too long as chemo makes your skin burn really fast. But had a lovely seaside walk early morning and late afternoon yesterday. Found a nice patch of shade outside the cottagd and read most of the day. It’s only 5 minutes walk to the beach so the kids spent most of the day there, popping back for snacks and loo breaks. So nice now they’re older and more independent.
Into the local town today for a mooch and some lunch 😁

Lovely few days away, much needed.
We weren’t particularly spendy on activities, we did a boat trip to see seals (was excellent!) which cost about £90. Other than that we had beach days, visited a couple of NT properties etc. We did eat out a couple of times and got a couple of takeaways. I added up our spending money for the week to be around £500. Not too bad 🙈
Back to lots of washing and I had 3 hospital appointments today too. All went well, I’ve got an appointment with surgeon next week ready for the op end of Sept/beg of October. Chemo again tomorrow 🫠

I got my PIP award level, £107 a week which works out around £460om for 24 months, backdated until beginning of may.
So have set up a FU c@nicer pot and a pixie dust pot, will put £100 a month into pixie fund and the rest into FU fund. The backdated lump sum I’ve put into our holiday fund ☺️
I’ve actually spent a bit of pixie fund already… a little old lady was struggling to figure out paying for her parking. She only had coins and the machine was only accepting card payment or you had to use the app. People were grumbling and not trying to help her so I just tapped my card instead, she was so pleased. That was £4.20. And then I donated more than I usually would to a couple of collections at work, £20 rather than my normal £10.
I’ve told DH about pixie fund, he kind of rolled his eyes but I saw he sponsored someone more generously than he usually would so I think he secretly likes the idea 😂
