Thank you. I was out for a meal with friends the other day and it was lovely, but even during that there were little comments (kindly meant) And I did have to laugh in the end.. one said she’d heard veganism was the best cancer diet. Another said she’d go keto or carnivore… I had a d!et coke and then moved onto tap water. But I had a comment that @spartame was a carcinogen and a chat about microplastics in tap water.
These friends were all sat there drinking wine! Which is actually a known carcinogen 👀I did point out that if I listened to them all I’d just starve to death instead 😂
I think sometimes people just don’t know what to say 🫠

Thank you, I think this is what I’ll try to do. Offset the money against cancer incurred costs ☺️

Going away for a few days next week, can’t bl00dy wait.
Can’t quite do a week as it needs to fit around a couple of appointments, but will still be a lovely break.
We’re going up the country and I’ve checked the forecast, chuffed to see it’s around 22-23 degrees. It’s been so hot here for weeks, that those temperatures sound heavenly 🫠It’s actually a friend’s holiday home, they usually spend all school holidays there, but they’re spending the summer in Europe (as you do 😂). She has a cleaner, so no housework either.
Very sweet of her to let us use it, it’ll be cosy with 8 of us in a 3 bed (eldest DD is bringing her boyfriend) but we’re all looking forward to it.DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

This is just mind blowingly awful - what on earth possesses people to act like that?
Have a wonderful time away though - that sounds like a really lovely break!

How lovely to have a nice break to the horizon. Hope you get to put your feet up and relax.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪0 -
Thanks Beanie, EH, DITR and SA
I got the letter from DWP, £107 a week and they backdated it to the start of chemo so I got £1400 in my account today 😮.
I opened a new pot in Monz0 called FU cancer and I’m going to put everything we get into there. Whenever an expense can be justified as cancer related, we’ll pull it from there. I’ve decided our few nights away are cancer related as we were supposed to go abroad at Easter and had to cancel. Therefore I’m going to be much less budget conscious while away and spending money will come out of the FU fund 😁

I also saw on someone’s diary a fab idea.. can’t remember if it was called a fairy dust fund or pixie dust fund or whose diary it was 🤔
Anyway, I love the idea, so am going to copy and use some of the FU fund for that too. Pop a bit more when I sponsor someone, treat my kids friends when I book their cinema tickets sometimes… can’t think of any other ideas, but open to suggestions 😁
