that is correct but its no excuse to tie me into a powerful group that are non flexible and without giving me the option of leaving them if I want to
What flexibilities are you looking for, and how have they been denied?
If you want to leave Sky for a different provider, I doubt they can stop you.

Negotiating on price - I am not given any options nowadays - previously I used to email the "Accessibilty team" and they came up with a good deal - I am currently paying £87.50 for this… What are you paying ?

Negotiating on price
As was mentioned earlier in the thread, you're currently paying the list price for your bundle.
If Sky don't want to negotiate with you, your next option is to begin a switch away and see what their retentions team can offer.
Of course if you're mid-contract you'll have termination fees to consider.

I'm with Vodafone. 24m broadband contract for an effective price (after cashback) of just under £20pm.

And prior to them moving you 5 or 6 years ago there was no communication from them regarding this move?

That's the thing, if Sky have no interest in negotiating then you can reduce your services or move or pay what they are asking
As I wrote earlier if you think the price provides value for money then great, if not something has to change.

That's very poor but obviously you agreed to it at the start of the 18/24 month contract, it's a bit late for buyers remorse now.
As it's Q however you will have the option to renegotiate and/or cancel and leave next April during the annual price rise. That'll save you 4 months of paying too much.
And yes, you can still negotiate at that time but Sky don't have to offer you anything, in fact they are much harder to deal with as an existing customer for everybody nowadays, so be prepared to leave and come back in 12/18/24 months as a new customer from wherever you move to.

OP, I pay around £100 with VM for similar TV, plus Netflix and we also get Sky Cinema. Ours also includes 500mb broadband and anytime calls on the landline though.

No - absolutely nothing

If I did cancel - I don't believe that anyone would get in touch with "offers"
I think that I would have to try "Now TV" but how does that work for a second TV - Synced ?
What channels are missing from NOW entertainment compared to Sky Signature ?
it looks like "Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic, History Channel"
We do watch a lot on Discovery - is there any other way of getting Discovery ?

The Discovery+ streaming service 'Entertainment plan' ( £3.99/month ) includes the following live channels: Animal Planet, Discovery, Discovery History, Discovery Science, DMAX, Food Network, HGTV, ID, Quest, Quest Red, TLC, and Turbo.
Source:
Discovery+ does not include the National Geographic live channel, and nor does any other UK streaming service.
Disney+ does include a lot of National Geographic on demand content.
The History Channel in the UK was renamed to Sky History in 2020, and is included in the Now TV entertainment package1
