Does this sound like a ripoff ?
My Sky is administered by "Sky priority customers" for some unknown reason
I have been a paying Sky customer for 23 years ! - Downgrading from Q
Sky Stream Package
- Sky Ultimate TV (Sky Entertainment with Netflix – with ads)
- Sky Sports Complete, including Sky Sports+
- HBO Max (with ads) and Disney+ (with ads)
- Whole Home (additional room)
- Cost: £83.00 per month for 24 months (24-month contract)
Please note that prices may be subject to an annual increase during your contract term.
Additional Information:
- Your first Sky Stream puck will be provided free of charge
- A second puck is available for a one-off upfront fee of £39.95
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

That "Priority Customer" guff is just that.
Presumably that includes your broadband service? What's the cost breakout of that?

No it doesn't include broadband

Priority Customers took over my account about 4 or 5 years ago without informing -e and won't release me from their grip - I have asked them too many times and they say "if you're unhappy = leave Sky!"
I would rather not leave sky - because they do produce a very good product
my contract expires in August on Q
As I said - I have been a paying (disabled) customer for 23 years and have never got into financial problems.
They won't even reveal WHY they took over my account…
So what can I do ?
They appear to hold all of the "power" cards - being the top level in Sky
but won't let me negotiate for a better deal

Looking at their website for pricing it's hard to get to more than about £50/mth for that lot.
Can you ask them to break it down, would make it easier to compare the individual components (like Netflix) with sourcing them directly.
I can see Sky Sports+ for £22 and their Ultimate TV (inc Netflix etc) is £24.
Where they make up the extra £40 is for them to say.

Seems a bit on the pricy side. I have the same plus UHD sports and Sky cinema and aslo 4K netflix no adds for £86. Also includes Gigafast full fibre ( forgot to mention this ).

Ultimate TV for £24/month (stream) is their new customer price.
M.O.D. won't count as a new customer given they currently have Sky Q.
The existing customer price is £30/month (with 24 month contract) or £31/month rolling, with an ongoing price of £37/month.
Source - - scroll to the bottom, expand "Here's the legal bit" and scroll down to "Ultimate TV" then "Existing Sky TV customers options"1 -
Sky Q customers won't get a decent deal crossgrading (not downgrading) to Sky Stream. The only way is to leave and come back in 12/18/24 months or whatever their T&C's say.

This thread on the sky site seems to suggests that the "SKY Priority Customers" allows the customer to communicate by email rather than telephone:
There is a poster very near the end of that chat with a very similar issue to the OP.

£83 for that TV only package is a nonsense -CANCEL when out of existing contract is the only sensible way to go!!
