Update
Nr of Rs 37
8470 p/cm
62989 total value

With the recent Monmouthshire maturities and the last of the Principality 6M 7.5% accounts I'm currently down to 62. I've got another 9 maturities coming up in September, so I'm hoping for lots of new account launches to replace them.
Number of RS: 62
Weighted average: 5.43%
Min % for new RS: 5.00%

My figures for August. Two versions this time, you can choose which one you want to use🤷♂️
- My own spreadsheet is based on my monthly contributions and doesn't include six 5%-ers that I didn't feed this particular month. The latter makes the difference because these accounts have some balance.
Number of RS: 45
Contributions this month: £12045
Weighted average: 6.22%
2. Using the template posted by Bridlington, which includes the current value.
Number or RS: 51
Contributions this month: £12045
Weighted average: 6.13%

Thanks @allegro120. I reckon the RS=51 is the one to go by. There must be many figures in the table where the contributor currently has X RSs but only funded Y, or funded some fully and some partially in any one month. Hopefully the "per month" figure will reflect the actual amount funded in the month and not necessarily the maximum that could have been funded in that month across all currently open RSs!

My figures included the amount that's actually been deposited, rather than the theoretical amount that I could have funded them with.
Likewise I also include the amount withdrawn to provide a net amount (which was in the minus figure for August) should that figure be useful
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
Yes, I think the second version is more representative than the first. I'll use Bridlington's spreadsheet from now on. Don't know what the figure should be for a minimum. I have a number of 5% that I funded to hold the position, but they are not getting any additional funding. I fund 5.1% Mansfield £10 p/m and 5.15% Newcastle £200 p/m, everything else is 5.25%+

I must admit to not thinking much about how contributors calculate their "per month" figure, mainly due to my false assumption that most do what I do … fund all RSs each month up to the max!
I realise that this just isn't true for all contributors and depends on available funding and other factors that might influence the choice of what to fund and by how much. I reckon a decent enough definition of the "per month" figure is a total of what you actually funded all RSs by in that month.
As an interesting aside to the above, I was intrigued by @gpman commenting in the other RS thread, referring to Darlington, that …
"I opened a new RS3. I prefer my £1 to maintain membership to earn 4.75% rather than 1.85% 😀".
An interesting thought … presumably implying that the £1 initial deposit might be the only deposit to the RS. Food for thought?

I haven't given a per month figure for a while, due to future RS funding being uncertain with a lot of maturities coming up and most of the accounts currently not replaceable. I think when I do, the per month figure will refer to what is being funded with new money.
I am heading into a period with a lot of recycled funds, with a RS (or several) maturing each month until October 2027. Well, except for May 2027 which Furness Summer is earmarked for as the term ends in June anyway.
I had counted three 5%s, a 5.5% and a 5.75% which hadn't seen any funding for a while, but which were maxed out this month and will be for the next few, so it's not as though I was counting an account I didn't intend to fund further.

Darlington BS
Yes, I do not plan on making any more deposits into the Darlington RS3, at least not whilst it pays a measly 4.75%. I prefer my money to earn up to 8% in regular savers. My usual minimum interest rate to open a RS is 6%.
The RS3 application form asks what your initial deposit will be and I told them truthfully it would be £1. They were happy to open the account for me on that basis.
The Darlington RS2 paid 6% when I opened it just over 12 months ago. (and paid 5.75% from 20-Jan-2026 until maturity today)
