HBO max/Sky can't activate.

As previously mentioned no VPN on an mobiles or pc or the router.
Password is different from sky id one.
Issue I get is there is no input hbo max email pass word combo when I click the app on the q box.
I get continue with my sky email or register new email and what ever on I press goes to new page where the qr code is which use QR code to activate, hbo registration and something else but bothe qr codes take me to mysky app and the loop begins again.

Thanks for confirming you have/had no Discovery+ account - I agree with you that the fact you were able to create a new HBO Max account linked to your email implies you never had an account, so that rules out that theory,
I don't think having Amazon Prime should be an issue. It is possible to subscribe to HBO Max inside Prime Video, but I assume you are not trying to do that?
You mention the QR code that the Q box shows you takes you to your MySky app (but unhelpfully then gives the "too soon" message).
Could you try going in to the MySky app manually, to check something?
I'm assuming your MySky app looks similar to mine, with Home, TV, Broadband, Mobile, SmartHome and VIP along the bottom.
Tap on TV - I think you will then see a bit of advertising (maybe Sky Glass) and under that "Your Products" with a list of the parts of your Sky package such as Signature, Cinema, Sports etc.
To the right of the "Your Products" heading you should see "Manage >" - tap on that.
Then you should see a page headed "TV. Your way." and lower down 3 headings: "TV Packs", "App Subscriptions" and "Home Setup" - tap on "App Subscriptions".Then you should see a list (viewable by scrolling up and down) of the various apps that Sky give you subscriptions to, such as Disney+ (which it sounds like you haven't used), Paramount+ (included as you have Cinema), Discovery+ (which I guess you have never activated).
I am wondering if you see HBO Max in that list?

Don't worry about the step's.
Prime is under a different email address so don't think that's the problem.
Mine is the same as yours and the odd thing to me is hbo says awaiting activation and paramount says select tier and Discovery says included.
When I tap activate on hbo the next page comes up with my contents page hbo and paramount says already mine.
Another issue I came across is that if I use my username and password to log in I get to the hbo activation page and it says if you have hbo use that to log in but when I press activate I get the same result.

Another issue is if I input my sky email address in the mysky app there are no bills present or future.
Also it says I need to return sky equipment.
Use sky id and I have past and future bills.
I left in March due to price rise and rejoined 20/04 and I have I need to return equipment and.
Not sure what is going on but thanks for the help so far.

Have you tried activating through the MySky app when logged in via both email addresses? Apologies if already answered.
I'm still of the opinion that you try the Sky forums and tell them you think your HBO authentication is stuck in a loop and can someone escalate it for you. They'll put you on to a non-real time chat with someone.

Yes I have tried that.
I have tried signing into the app and website at the same time and still says I am too quick.
I have tried 2 chats to sky and they can't sort it out.
I will go to sky forum and see what happens.

It does sound like maybe you have two Sky accounts, one (old?) based on your email, and one (current) based on your username.
If you log in to the MySky app using your username (so that your bills etc. show), then click on the head and shoulders icon at the top left that looks like this:That should take you to the "My Profile" part of the app.
Under your name there, and above your TV account number, does it show an email address?
Also in there you can tap "My details" and then "Manage account info" - do you see anything under "Household account email address" there.
Just wondering if somehow your account Sky account is connected to a different email address?0 -

I do remember a few months ago that when I accessed my online sky account it said something about getting rid of a username or id and I deleted one.
I left in July last year and came back but left again due to price rise.
Rejoined in April but during the acceptance offer I had to give my bank details and I questioned it as they have them but he said I still have given them if I want the offer.
I have had issues with the package not working and multi room and Q box not working as the package wasn't updated.
I will try the tip you gave me.

The only thing is my sky is name is my full name but is email address is the same, will that make any difference?

Interesting that when you log in with the username you see the same email address.
I was wondering if you might see a different email address.
Not sure if it has any connection to the HBO Max activation problem.
I think @JSmithy45AD's suggestion is a good one, re getting a referral on the Sky help forum to someone in the Sky staff who might be able to help with any problem on your account.0
