HBO max/Sky can't activate.

    OK - was worth ruiling that out.

    I've had some places fail on using a VPN, for example ordering Nespresso capsules (they tried telling me I had to turn off my VPN, but I wasn't going to compromise my security for them and I just buy other brands instead).

    You say you don't have an HBO Max account, but is it possible that you have a Discovery+ account?
    They are both from the same parent company, WBD.
    If you do have a Discovery+ account (and remember the email and password for it) maybe try logging in to the HBO Max app on your Sky Q box using the same details (but don't provide any payment details or sign up to any subscription plan)
    Once you've done that you might find activating the included HBO Max subscription from Sky easier.

    I don't have an account with Disney.

    I haven't tried to activate that one yet.

    I spent another hour chatting to "tech" doing app resets, box resets and other things but nothing.

    The person said that my email is registered for sky and should work and in the end said he couldn't do any more and I might sort itself out in 24 hours.

    When I did get to the activate part on hbo code input it said it couldn't find my email and that Amazon prime was showing as something I don't remember what.

    I have prime but not hbo with it and I have searched my emails for any hbo and nothing returns.

    Very frustrating all this but it is free though

    The Sky forums would put the lie to you being the only person who can't complete registration.

    You've used both mobile and computer, is there any Ad blocker active? Is it Android or Apple for the mobile? Is it a Windows PC/laptop?

    Have you ever subscribed to TNT Sports through Discovery+?

    Android mobile using Firefox and opera browser's.

    Window's 10 using edge and Firefox.

    As mentioned before never had Disney and never had TNT .

    As mentioned I have Prime so maybe that's causing issues with activating.

    I couldn't find Discovery emails for the email addresses I used in the past 15 years.

    Late last night I got fed up with this and went to HBO max and paid £5.99 for a month using my email address that is linked to my sky account and paid and can start streaming on my mobile so to me that means I never had an account with hbo or discovery as I think you can only have 1 account with 1 email address unless someone knows different.

    I tried about 1 hour ago to link the account and still not working. It keeps coming up with the same message about being to fast.

    Now you've set an account up is it not possible to use a 'sign in' option on the Q box or online through the MySky app or through the web interface? If so, manually input the email and password rather than use any QR code. If no success there, try changing the password on the HBO account to separate it from the Sky ID credentials. Watch out for auto fill putting in the wrong details.

    You say you use Firefox & Opera, both have built in VPNs, have you got them activated at all?
