If it's any help soontobeoap I encountered pretty much the same issues as you today. I went to Morries to take advantage of the potatoes offer. But although the website say to get a plastic card, you just need to 'speak to one of our colleagues'. I too encountered the 'sorry, computer says it's not working' response. But I didn't get as far as you - as there was no way the CSA was going to move a muscle to actually, you know, help……. All they came up with was to apply for a card which will get sent through the post.

Good evening everyone,
Did a big shop today at Testo and Ald*
I don’t usually shop at Testo but I had a £4 off coupon. I was glad that I went because I got Y/S chicken drumsticks, Y/S beef brisket joint, Y/S lettuce, grapes, cherry tomatoes, parsnips and strawberries. Lot’s of other c/c deals too. £51.51 spent.A few extra bits bought from Ald* which are mainly cleaning materials and herbs etc. £5.69 spent. I’ve bought everything for the week’s meal plans.
Total spent this week £57.20.Grocery Challenge £169.99 / £300. £130.01 remaining.
I’m pleased with the progress and I’m taking time to plan meals and stay out of the shops.
My next challenge will be to stop spending on Vinted! I’ve sold lots of clothes etc but I’ve spent far more than I’ve earned and it’s time to rein it in! Any hints and tips on stopping being a compulsive internet shopper gratefully received! 🫣5 -
Thanks @ greying_pilgrim I am over it now and at least I got a helpful man. Talked to another craft group member at crib this evening and she is going to morrisons tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some left.

Good Morning GC'rs
I went shopping yesterday and picked up a few bits and pieces as I went along - I have (this morning) updated my signature.
But the spends went; £1.68 in Leedl for a cucumber (PoTW) and a jar of mayo. I did also buy a bottle of wine, but I'm not including alcohol in my GC budget now. I will have to work out how to budget for it, as we haven't an 'entertainment' budget, but want to get the groceries on the straight and narrow first. We're not massive drinkers, but there should be a budget line for it.
I then went to fArmF00ds; 2x Pr1nces fruit c0*ktail for £1 (434g tins), 6 x black beans £2 and 3x chickpeas £1 - total £4
I called in at morries to see if there were any 15p potatoes, but encountered difficulty getting a m0re card - computer (literally) 'said nah' 🙄However, I bought some tins from their 'saver' range; sweetcorn 50p, red kidney beans 29p, potatoes 38p and spaghetti hoops 19p - total £1.36.
I've set the above expenditure against my budgets as; £4.04 June GC, £1 July GC (fruit salad tins), and £2 bulk (black beans) - as I had bought tinned black beans in Leedl on Wednesday, but didn't realise fArmf00ds did black beans in their own range, so bought 6 tins (£2) whilst they had plenty in stock.
I used 1 tin of chickpeas and the tin of potatoes in our tea last night - they are included in June spends.

@Soontobeoap and @Greying_Pilgrim I use the Morries app on my desktop, where I compile my shopping list, and my phone in store, where I remove the things in my little trolley. I find it a neat way to add things that occur to me that I need, just being able to open the app (separate More Card App with the Offers) to add the odd thing, and (I do the same in Sainsbugs, I run through the nectar offers and Sains offers as I go round, only collecting the things on my list plus things I know I need.
It has been local EoECoop only since y one big shop - we are at £199.31/£225 so far. I do already have Mr Sl's pension in but we can manage a few more days without shop visits
Save £12k in 2026 #2 I have banked £9004.48 so far, against a £10k target The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2026 I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026 - currently £1111.79 and most of my May purchasing made
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread

Sounds good @suffolk_lass. I would need a few tech lessons to be able to even understand what you just said! 🤣 I am pleased that I have now managed to down load app. Lost nectar points a few months back because I couldn't do a screen shot of a receipt. It really is frustrating and I do try. Honestly.it makes me feel such an idiot. DH has the same problem but his answer is that it is not worth the bother! Sometimes I will spend 3 or 4 hrs trying to fathom something really simple to others.
I activate all nectar offers on my app and if they are on my list then points get added. Maybe I should try and build menu plans around them.

Apologies for disappearing again.
I seem to have fallen of the mse wagon and need to get back on again.
I'd like to try £50 per week or £200 per month for the time being.

DH has just done a trip to Aldi. He is on a keep fit campaign so walked there. £17.27 spent on essentials.

Ha ha - taking inspiration from Soontobeoap's DH - I'm just back from walking to MrS and the retail park! 😁 It was close, but overcast, when I started out, the sun came out by the time I started walking home 🥵
I bought multivits for my kiddo from MrS (not in the grocery budget but in the 'non-food' budget), but I did spend £2.63 on Greek seasoning (£2) and a lump of fresh ginger (63p) in M&$. The 'freshness' of the ginger is questionable - lets just say I got the least wrinkly and dried up bit. But it was right on the bottom shelf - so I'm not surprised they clearly don't have much of a stock turnover. 'ome bargins are consistently out of stock of the jarred ginger, and sainsbugs wanted £1.50 for a jar that is 79p in hB 🙄
I have updated my siggie figgies and am currently in a darkened room trying to cool down.

A few spends to catch up on both before and after we went away.
£31.58 at A*da, not somewhere I usually shop but thought that I would give it a try. Mostly own brand stuff, some of which we liked and some of which we didn't. So it's something to think about, that and the walk up to the retail park!
Sainsbugs deliveries £81.65 and £66.67 yesterday.
M&S £22.55 and then £12.50 today, much lower than last month which I'm happy about.
So £286.23 spend out of £350.00
I shouldn't need to shop again until next weekend when I have my final Sainsbugs delivery of the month due, so I'm hoping the £63.78 I have left will cover that, but I wouldn't be surprised if something unexpected comes up and I end up going slightly over budget.
