I had a delivery yesterday as I had a £12 off a £60 spend voucher and could sensibly stock up on some staples like bread flour and tea that we use a lot of to get to the required amount. With the discount and delivery charge it came to £52.20. I got some baked beans in my order so beans on toast will be on my menu too 😁

Ah yes, beans on toast. The big questions though -
- what do you add to the beans? here it is a dash of tabasco and a shot or Worcester' sauce (and then I top with HP) -
- and do you butter the toast?
- And do you ever top it with anything like a poached egg or grated cheese under the grill?

after much deliberation as I really didn’t need much I decided to make use of the £30 off an £80 spend voucher from Tesco as figured it was ultimately a decent enough saving -I spent a bit more as ordered a bit extra in case any oos items brought the total below the min spent threshold for the voucher to get applied which did pay off as there was about £15 worth of items not delivered but mostly stocked up on bulk buys so a lot will be used over multiple months but for now I’m including the full amount. Also had a few small tops up shops for various fresh bits I did need plus the inevitable extras that always seem to creep into the basket and some extra snacks and beers they decided they needed for watching the football. £133.25 spent in total £628.61/£800
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk4 -
I really wish I was better with technology. I have never had a more card for Morrisons. After the tip about choc eggs being 97p we tottered off to get some for Christmas crafting at craft and chat. On the way there I realized that we needed a card to get the offer. ( I should have known) Asked at the desk if I could get a card and a very nice chap said normally he could help me but he couldn't get on the computer. Suggested that I load app on my phone and showed me how to set it up. So far so good! I started shopping as it took over 10 mins to fully load. Then it wanted me to load a pin number that it had emailed me. I don't have email on my phone. DH had gone to the opticians because he had a screw loose! That's another story. So I kept my finger on the page to keep it open until he came back and kept shopping. When he arrived I duly entered the pin only to be told that the email I had entered was already on their system. Arrgh! Eventually on the way home I managed to set up the whole thing. Once home I entered the receipt into the morrisons app as apparently you can retrospectively get discounts loaded back onto your card. I now have £1.57 worth of points when I could have saved £1.53 on the one choc orange that I did buy for my daughter, earned 13 points on the whole shop and there were lots of other money off offers in my basket too. I am just hoping that more points are loaded over the next few days! It's all so frustrating?
I do keep trying to follow all of the instructions but I am so slow. No choc eggs for craft group!☹️
Most of shopping was for cakes for DHs bowls team and pooh bags for the neighbours dog. £4.15 of grocery challenge money spent. £2.50 of that on a choc orange for DD
