That's what happened with my Alliance and Leicester mortgage when Santander took them over. When the fixed rate ended they put it on a high SVR with no other A&L deals available, but there were lots of much better Santander rates available that I could switch to.

I closed 2, kept the other one open to switch, but all switched out atm

In my town would they close the purpose-built Halifax branch or the converted-from-a-shop Lloyds branch, I wonder? Certainly one would go.
On a practical level, one less Regular Saver available.
Would they rename the legal entity Halifax Share Dealing Ltd, also trading as Lloyds, BOS and Scottish Widows Share Dealing?

Halifax died many many years ago.
I still have a Halifax Visa CC which needs the Halifax app to operate so I wonder what'll happen to that. Maybe rebrand it.

This was the only issue I could think of in my personal situation.
I’ve had a Halifax clarity credit card for as long as I can remember for use overseas. It’s simple and it works. Not sure if Lloyds have an equivalent or if they’ll rebrand or discontinue it?
