ebay- buyers 'shopping time' after one purchase.

I don't think it had any impact as i think my holiday settings kicked in at 8am and the item sold at around 815. I was intending to do my last post office run at 10am but had to wait until 11:15 although I could have just clicked on the 'get label' link anyway.

In your earlier post you say you opted for '

Account set to 'allow sales for 15 days',

Which allows sales , you haven't switched off your sales , just extended the despatch time. If you want to stop sales you need to untick the ;allow sales' box.

Yes however I'd set a cutoff time of 8am this morning. I had other items to post and was intending to post at 10am. I believe this item was actually bought after 8am so I could have left it until I got back, but what if the buyer bought it at 7:59 and their shopping time pushed the transaction into my holiday? Interestingly I had two other sd items to post and neither of them had shopping time.

do you "have" to actually wait? just this Monday morning I was getting a label for something that sold on the weekend, I saw that another item had sold but only just, and I didn't actually get a notification email yet as there was still a "shopping time" countdown so just left it

monday 3pm ish I got a message from the buyer, "hi any chance you can post today as we really need the itam asap"
I replied in the evening saying that I would have sent before I went to work but was waiting for their "shopping time" to expire…

is it compulsary to wait? i sell the most randomest range of old tat so I'd be very suprised to see if somene wants to buy two random peices of old tat at the same time. I think thats happened a handful of times in the last 20 years

It is bizarre that while telling you to wait it does give you the option to create a label. I wonder what would happen if the buyer did then make another purchase, and whether it would make any difference if the label had been.generated but not scanned as received by the courier (ie still in the seller's possession)

I don't like this extra shopping time. In theory it is a good idea as it is easy to combine postage but so far no one has bought 2nd item in the extra shopping time. I wish they would give the buyer the option when they have bought one item - do you want to buy any more items from this seller or have you finished or something like that - then we know where we stand. Quite often I am just about to go to PO and then I have to wait 3 hours!
