I live in Cheshire near Liverpool is all i'd like to say i also forgot to mention i have 3 grand kids and 1 on the way and they give me the will to live as well as my wife and kids.

Just carry a photo of them with you at all times, ie. Whenever you feel depressed, look at it and ask yourself 'what is more important - debt or the grandchildren?'

    Hi

I agree with rog2 and izzwizz, with support, your family and other people's experience thing can only get better.
You should try speaking to your creditors as well, they should be able to help, come to an arrangement with you, make the payments easier. Big step but such a weight off your shoulders.

Just keep your family in mind and how much they mean to you and you to them

    Hi im-empty,
I just want to add my support too. I think you sound like a wonderful man and I'm willing to bet your family love you to bits and are more upset with how you are feeling than any money problems.
In the grand scheme of things, the money can be dealt with - honestly, it can. It's every bit as important for you to deal with other issues, and as others have said, you are not alone, and there is help there - take it!
When you're ready, post your SOA to let people here begin to help. Talk to your wife and family, let them know how you're feeling, talk to the wonderful supports suggested by others here, get the help you need for as long as you need it.

Hi again hun, can you make a plan of when to ring so that you have some privacy? Maybe make an excuse to go out and find a 'phone box or something?

I have some understanding of how your family will feel if you don't tell them and go and do something silly. They'll feel they weren't good enough, weren't there for you when you needed them. They won't care about the debt, they need you. Trust me. Please ring as soon as you can.
