First things first.. you need to go see your doctor and be treated for depression. Stuff the money and credit cards.. your health is far more important.
Sending massive hugs to you and your family :grouphug: But don't worry you will get through this.. xx

I just wanted to add my support to you and your family. Have you tried freecycle for some more tools? There's often garden tools going on our local freecycle. Please, please stay in touch on here as there's lots of people who'll give you advice and support. Hugs to you xx

  • Hey fella, just to reinforece what everyone on here's said so far. You're a strong person, your family in real life need you and your new family on here will carry you when you can't walk by yourself.
Go to your Dr's and tell him/her how you feel, and keep you chin up. You CAN get through this. Talk to us when you need to mate.

Hi im-empty - I'm really sorry to read your story, and I can understand how you feel.
You need to talk to someone, on a more professional basis - personally, I would reccomend that you talk, in the first instance, to the Samaritans, who will be able to point you in the right direction to get your life back together again.
As regards the 'debt' - it is only money - there are many things in life that are more important than money - it is only your creditors who would have you think otherwise - and the Law provides many ways by which you, or society, can deal with your debt problems.
You do, as I said, need to 'come to terms' with the situation, which is why I reccomend talking to someone like the Samaritans, as they are more qualified than we are to deal with people who feel that 'death' is the only way out.
Then you need to speak with one of the Debt Counselling Charities, such as CAB, CCCS or National Debtline. If your debt situation is really hopeless, they may even reccomend bankruptcy, which will give you a fresh start, financially. Then you will be able to look for a job, or even start up your business, at which you have been successful, again.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Welcome to mse. I'm so sorry you've been through such a terrible time - just wanting to echo the things people have said - a Statement of Affairs, the CCCS (using the links from this website, by the way, there are scammers who have a similar website), seeing your GP, and the most recent good suggestion, from LDJ1, about using freecycle. Its online, but really easy to use, completely free and goods offered for free. When I got padded envelopes (for amazon sales) someone even delivered them to my door for free, because I would have had to take a bus a long way to get them. Don't give up, and keep posting, thats what this forum is here for. Let us know about the Statement of Affairs if you feel able to, but as hypno says, no pressure.

Hi, just want to add my sympathies, and beg you go and see your Doctor and get some help. Or there is the Samaritans, you can 'talk' to them by email if you go onto the website. But please get help. And keep posting on this forum, people will be really kind and helpful.

You sound like a really wonderful young man, and I really don't think the world can afford to lose such a good person. So please get help, and don't harm yourself. Believe me, nothing can make up for the loss of a person you love, so hang in there for your wife & children.

I hope things improve for you soon - don't think I can offer fresh advice, just echo what the others have suggested. All the best.
  • I know how strong suicidal feelings can be, I have come to realise that its not a case of wanting to die, for me it was a case of not knowing how to 'live like this'. Not knowing how to 'live like this' can be remedied, coping strategies and practical advice can all achieve this.

Your GP can arrange an emergency appointment for a psychological assessment and sometimes going this route it does not take as as long to see a therapist. If your suicidal thoughts have passed, please still see your GP. Your situation puts you in a very vulnerable state right now and you will be all over the place emotionally.

Be honest with your GP and emphasis how strong your feelings have been.

On a practical level, small steps will give you the feeling of control and the peeps here will help you with that.

Try to remember - Do not look at how far you have to go - look at how far you have come!

Lots of people will be able to help you with the financial advice, but I thought if you are still able to work, but not got the tools try freecycle in your area to see if people have any tools they no longer need/want. It's amazing the kind of *stuff* that people are happy to give away if they believe it will be well used by someone else. It may not be the best of stuff, but it may help you rebuild your business and help bring in some money.

Good luck, and just remember that money is not worth loosing your life over.

    Big Hug x

You sound like a wonderful human being to care so much about supporting your family. Please go and see your doctor, there is lots of support and help available and no need to feel embrassed about your feelings. Then will be the time to sort out your finances x

Hi all and thank you for all the advise and hugs its all very welcome a couple of points though I've had sciatica for many years now and wouldn't be able to do gardening ever again when i had my business i was working towards my employees running it for me and I'd just fix any breakages do all quotes and delivering materials etc.

I live in Cheshire near Liverpool is all I'd like to say i also forgot to mention i have 3 grand kids and 1 on the way and they give me the will to live as well as my wife and kids.

About the SOA i'll take a look soon and may post it here.

And bankruptcy would not suite me as we have bought our house but how can i sort out these creditors as i feel we may lose the house because we have nothing coming in and can't pay the repayments anymore.

Thats it for now thanks for all the support.
