Anyone still waiting for their funds to be requested? I'm just getting to the third month since opening my account and requesting transfer, and nothing but tumbleweed. Is it time for the government to shut down HSBC and prevent them operating in the UK? No 'admin backlog' could possibly be this inept. There's clearly more to it than this. The compensation offers have been an insult. They need a sharp shock to force compliance. Has anyone had a meaningful discourse with the FOS? I'm yet to submit my complaint but I think I've given them the benefit of the doubt and more than adequate time now. HSBC has demonstrated that they're not capable of doing business clearly as other providers manage this process at scale without breaking a sweat..

yeap still waiting here. Also been three months. Truly unbelievable isn't it, that they've not had a public slap on the wrist by any regulators and are allowed to get away with this. I tried to raise a complaint but person on the phone said they couldn't do that upon advise from Complaints team - reason given something along the lines of they wouldn't have any way of resolving it and so would close it anyway. I did not have the energy, knowledge, time nor patience to argue and left it at that. Are there such things like class action lawsuits in the UK??

I'm pretty astounded that you couldn't complain. That doesn't seem a legitimate response. I would consider your 'dialogue' with the call handler as your complaint, and then make a double complaint to FOS, one for the ISA delay and another for the rebuttal.

As it happens my ISA finally transferred yesterday, but exactly 3 and a half months late. It really beggars belief. You would think the CEO of HSBC would come around personally with a huge bunch of flowers and a personal apology accompanied with a cheque for at least £1000 to draw a line under their failure, but I've hardly had a peep out of them.

I've yet to write to the FOS and am not sure if there is any point now if they won't force any compensation out of HSBC.

I had very similar issues where they refused to raise a complaint for me, took over an hour on the phone standing my ground and requesting the agent (abroad) to raise the complaint as I would not take no for an answer, A week later money appeared in my ISA then received an email confirming complaint and finding in my favour.

HSBC are banking on people not going to the FOS. So please do. The more of us going to the FOS, the better are our chances for getting compensation.

I've just had a text acknowledging the cancellation of my ISA transfer to them. I'd cancelled it over 2 months ago!
