Narc0 my car is also a self charge hybrid and my first automatic and I love it too. A Hyundai Kona. I might be looking to change it at the end of the year, and am torn between another self charge hybrid or going full electric - in which case we would have to keep DH’s car as a self charge hybrid as we do frequent longer journeys and also DD will not be living where we could charge up. Range anxiety is a real thing for me, so another hybrid looks likely. DH is on his second hybrid and will get a third.
DH is out for the day so I have entertained myself by tidying up the gh and doing some potting on. This afternoon is set aside for sewing and HHI as i will have the iron on. Wm ran earlier and I hung the washing up indoors to dry as it was showery. Now it is VERY blustery but sunny so I have taken the risk of hanging it out and used every peg in the process. I think the wind feels southerly, so if you see some tops and a pair of jeans fly past, Round, can you grab them for me please?

Hi all
I am fully in decluttering mode here. Everything has been removed from underneath DS1s bed, sorted and reorganised. He had one of those lift up storage beds and has given me free reign to clear and reorganise as I like. I can report that Fireman Sam, his best matchbox cars and Mr Bear are safely tucked up in a box with his football trophies, photos and some other precious items.
I have also been through his built in cupboard and retrieved a box of random socks and a pile of t-shirts and jeans, the best of which have been put on Vinted. It's slow going but it will be rewarding when I get there.
I also found a spare duvet. Do I need a spare duvet? We have two spare beds with duvets on them so why would I need another? I have yet to make a decision on that.
I do need to clean the windows and get the hoover out tomorrow.

👖 👕🧦🩲 .... are these yours Fayolle? I grabbed them as they flew past. 😊
Flying has been even more limited than usual chez Round as my back went on Wednesday morning. I was putting on my trousers at the time. Nothing out of the ordinary .... but⚡ oh dear. I didn't go to work. Cue painkillers and frequent groans and grimaces.
Day 4 and I'm much better than I was. I managed to shower and wash my hair this morning, then get dressed in all clean clothes. That felt better!
I go up and down the stairs one step at a time. Take my phone everywhere after initially finding myself unable to get up from the loo 😱. (Pulled myself up using the basin and the door handle) And learned that I can reach the floor if I'm sat on a chair. Kitchen chair has been utilised while loading and uploading WM and to retrieve bread from the bottom drawer of the freezer.
The big river company will be delivering a hot water bottle, a walking stick, Volterol, and a picker upper. Hopefully for temporary use, but I was a Brownie. I can get in and out of my car, but putting on and removing the seat belt makes me wince. I practiced with a short drive to the Co-op. Hmmmmm. Only buy things from the middle shelves then. OK. Its been years since I ate a Hobnob 🤣
I really need to do a big shop at Mr Al but I haven't worked out how I'm going to do that yet.
Have we lost Jazee?

Been to buy SD, who is unwell, a new waterproof mattress cover (fill in the gaps) and have brought here a tin of q. st, a tin of roses, both full and well OOD plus a box with midget gems. sweets unwrapped and put in new food waste caddy, wrappers/tins binned or recycled as appropriate. I am going to try to remove stuff from that house as much as I can, he is clearly overwhelmed and I know I'm going to have to deal with it sooner or later; this way I can, at least, deal with some of it properly rather than skipping it.
Have bought strip of turf for rabbit run.

Thank you Honey Bear6 -
HoneyBear thanks for the tax motivation - I have now downloaded my bank activities for the 2025-26 tax year and have started sorting and organising it into my usual format so I can do my tax return.
Thanks for the car info - my previous car 9rs ago was a Yaris Verso and was amazing on mpg; the Yaris or Yaris Cross hybrid is on my list to look at. Current is a Hyundai i10 and its electric equivalent, the Inster, is what I've looked at.
Woke up listening to the wind, had nearly talked myself out of lake swim until I saw the rain so fully wimped out. I'd love to say that I did lots of 'stuff' to use the time, but neither action nor motivation seemed very noticeable today and little things keep piling up mentally - silly things like I can't really find a reading I like for M's funeral on Thursday; I don't have to read, it's an 'open microphone' after the main eulogy, reading, prayers and music , but I'd sort of like to (although seemingly they are expecting about 100 people so that will shut me up). Plus I'd set my heart on a takeaway Mexican on Monday which Mr N could collect while I was at zumba; looked at web site and it seems Mondays they are closed. Like I said, little things - but reflects that we can't control much in our lives at the moment with all the madness that is happening…..
Anyway I did do more tax return sorting, checked greenhouse, picked rhubarb and chard, made a lovely fish meal with the chard on the bottom and cheese on top followed by rhubarb crisp. And did a bit of drumming.

Morning, just!
First time in since Monday as the paid stuff has kept me busy so just daily stuff done. Haven't caught up with the list yet so apologies if I have missed anything.
Slow start yesterday as I had a banging migraine which didn't move despite me relaxing doing nothing so resorted to painkillers in the afternoon. Wish I had done it sooner as I soon felt much better and managed some flying in my bedroom.
It's a bear pit. Large attic room which never got finished (long story about the builder I wont bore you with). The room collects so much dust and my clothes are all on rails totalling about 15 foot. My dressing table was thick with dust and there is clutter everywhere. I started by tidying the heap of boots and then started to rearrange my shoe storage. I have too many of both, I have expensive boots I have never worn and others with 4" heels I am likely never to wear again but cant bear to part with them, same with shoes. I have about 30 pairs of boots and probably 40 pairs of shoes. Help me get the strength to get rid of some of them!
I then tackled the dressing table (it was so bad I had to hoover the dust before wiping, and yes I am trying to shame myself into not letting it get so bad again) and the area underneath it, and tidied and sorted most of the drawers (still 2 to go but they're fairly straight forward as one is hair stuff and the other is hairdryer and other electrical styler type things. I actually decluttered stuff to DD (from those Birchbox type of things which were mostly still in their boxes) and flung lots of other makeup and skincare stuff. I was exhausted by the time I went to bed but at least part of the bedroom is clearer.
This morning I had a much brighter start and have WM x 2, one lot is on the line, had breakfast, fed the dog and birds and am off for a stumble into town with DH shortly.
Catch you all later

Looked into updating Aged P's (SD) PoA apparently you are supposed to notify them if an attorney dies. Why he chose my mum as his attorney I will never know; sis is one too so at the moment it's all down to her.
All washing ironed.
Been to see the unwell aged P with white bread (for toast) and microwaveable rice.
Been to town for a mooch and because DD is looking for a birthday gift fo her bestie. Had lunch.
Came back.
Finished ebay listings for later on, saved as drafts
