Been a lovely day here.
Both charity shops on way over weren’t taking donations so that stuff is still in the car.
Caught up with dad and explained the paperwork I printed out and poster to him re his new to him car. He now has a phone call to make as part of the warranty requires you to keep up the servicing but they didn’t give him a service record!
Found DH and met his friend for the first time despite us being together for nearly 30 years but didn’t stay for a drink as was only on 20 min parking.
Came back and had a cuppa sat outside in the sunshine until DH came back and we ate the last of the hot cross buns.
Just watered and fed the plants in the south facing sitting room.
We’re having picky bits for tea as lots of bits to use up and I will save making a salmon and brocolli quiche for another day.
Need to sort out some work clothes for tomorrow so might go through the box of stuff that was previously too small now I’ve lost a few pounds.
The rest of the week I am likely to be absent unless I get my act together with the lighter evenings

I hope everyone has had a Happy Easter and nice long weekend.
Washing done, dried and put away - so nice not to have damp washing on the airer
Dishwasher unloaded, salt and rinse aid added. Now re-loaded after dinner
Cleared and dusted the coffee table, dining table and side tables. Swopped the placemats for some bright alternatives.
Packed and posted 6 vinted parcels
I think it's Tuesday tomorrow 🤷♀️ so will aim to have a burst of flying.10 -

- hoovered the skirtings in BR2 and set the robot vac off to do under the bed
- sorted a few jobs in the garden and watered the pots
- tried to pop into the garden centre, but turned around as it was so busy, so I went into town and bought a few 'essentials' instead
- Mr Shores did a tip run and washed the car
- 1 x WM load done
- DW ran with bathroom toothbrush holder etc. and emptied/put away
- cleaned the cats bowls
- wiped down worktops
We sat down about 4ish to watch some TV. Back to the paid stuff tomorrow.

Evening all. It's been a beautiful warm sunny day here too.
Thank you for the new thread, Valli x I have managed to
- make my bed
- S&S the bathroom
- S&S the kitchen
- empty the kitchen bins, throw away one that's been broken for yonks, replace it with the new waste food caddy (which meant shuffling the others round to fit in the space), re-allocate different types of waste to different bins as per the council's new directive
- break up empty boxes that have been cluttering up the utility and bin them appropriately
- check the waste collection days and add them to our diary
- check the church rotas and add my dates to the diary
- FU DH's dry laundry from the utility and put it on his bed for him to PA
- do a money shuffle
- take Rosie for a short walk along the lane - had a chat with NNDN on the way back
- take photos of small jobs to be done by DS1 on Friday - must send these to him later with measurements and materials needed
- water some pots that are standing in the sun
- het up stew and cook some veg for tea
- sit with my leg up all evening, watching BBC2.
My feet and hands are less painful today but my knee is still bad. DH has sat in his chair for most of the day to rest his leg - the new ABs are fine, no allergic reaction, but we'll have to wait and see whether they clear up the infection. We both need to contact the surgery tomorrow morning.

Evening all
Lovely day here. Opened windows, aired & remade bed, went for a walk, S&S'd kitchen & bathroom. Ate lunch outside, then spent a few hours doing a bit of gardening and deciding what order to do the outdoor projects in - decided on shed/back fence/side fence. That'll be my must-do list for April & May.

So… having laid in bed finishing ANOTHER book I got up, showered, pegged out 2 washloads, breakfasted, then realised I hadn't set the DW running properly so switched it off. Lovely, sunny day perfect for wandering round car sales places so I texted my friend and asked if she fancied joining me - she said she would be ready in an hour so I sorted myself out, made my bed, ironed what was in the basket and took out rubbish and recycling then picked her up. Sorted out requirements for possible new Vallimobile - hybrid, automatic, 5 door - and have found 3 potentials, test drove 1, was driven in another and am awaiting decision from insurance to be given to me then I'll know if I need one.
Took friend for coffee and cake.
Have CLEARLY been tracked by faceb00k which is now showing me cars and dealerships…have found identical car to the damaged Vallimobile not too far away so have added it to my list.
I'm very impressed by ability to read like I used to - it's been 10 years of really struggling until this past week.
Watched another episode of We are the lucky ones - need to be careful as this is a subject I find very distressing so not overloading myself is important.
Anyway WM and DW locked and loaded and have WUALTD so kitchen not a complete tip. Saving the pand for the next DW load, though.
Lot of admin to do tomorrow; need to contact car hire place and check in with insurance if they dont call me first.

A lovely sunny day today so got washing on first thing.
Got into car dressed for lake swim with buddies to find car wouldn't start. Grr. Rang buddy 1, who I was due to pick up, to find she was still in bed unwell and had sent me a message which hadn't come through as internet was playing up. Grr. Rang buddy 2 who was on her way to lake but happily agreed to divert to my house for coffee sitting in the sun; her health isn't brilliant so she didn't take much persuasion. At least it meant I could give her the flower arrangement I'd done for her birthday (tomorrow) without it being shaken around in the car.
Hung washing on line.
Mr N came home from gym and put car battery on charge although we could see no reason why it would have gone flat overnight. After an hour it started; good but baffling. Dug through glove box and took out all paperwork - after a bit of digging, I found the receipt for the last battery and, joy of joys, the 3-year warranty was valid for another 5 weeks. Mr N rang QF and booked it in for a check tomorrow morning, offering me his car to go to gymswim and work. Annoying as it would have been a lovely swimming day, but hopefully nothing too serious on the car front.
Sat in the sun reading for too long but pulled out occasional weeds while I was lying on the patio so surely that is a bit fly-y?
Did some digging of bed I want to plant onions and shallots in; over winter/spring it has grown a lot of cowslips and foxgloves…….potted up former as swim buddy 1 will happily put them in her garden.
Did a flower arrangement for bereaved NDN and took it round.
Started cooking dinner (6.25pm) then was reminded by Mr N that he had a photography tutorial at 7pm; rather annoyed with myself that I'd forgotten as I thought I was being efficient and helpful cooking…..
Did some drum practice.
Listened to half a webinar on assistive technology and AI.
Ate too much chocolate egg while watching 'Pilgrimage' - I'm particularly interested as that area from Whitby to Lindisfarne is where we are going in May.

Thank you for the lists. I stuck meticulously to yesterday’s 😉. I’m not so keen on making a start on today’s though, it seems. I have changed the bed and the wm is swishing. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours at the allotment in the morning, where it was very sociable with quite a few people turning out to dig in the sunshine. It was good to have the distraction. It finally warmed up after lunch by which time I was home. Pottered in the garden, which resulted in a couple of long standing jobs coming off my outside Toots list.
I need to dry my hair, peg out the washing, then I’ll be off to the allotment. DH is “busy”, so best I keep out of the way 😉. I need to do some admin this afternoon, and I might even fly. Might, no promises.

Narc0, I am enjoying 'Pilgrimage' too. I wish we could go to Lindisfarne again this year, but it looks as if we shall be holidaying along the south/south-east coast and (some other time - possibly just a day visit) in South Wales.
I have had a call back from the surgery: had asked to see a GP but have an appointment with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at 2.15.
Rosie has been out for a walk with L and the pack, so she's happy.
I must remember to email DS1 today, now that I've taken the photos and done some measuring up.
Hope everyone has a good day xxx
