Bed changed and sheets in WM.
How can someone who dislikes (and avoids) cleaning have so many different cleaning/dusting products, bits of kit?

Afternoon all, it is a cool but dry day here today.
My list for today
- Do lambing shift
- Spend an hour writing up uni notes
- Laundry x 1 load
- Finish sorting out my diary for April
- Dust the living room
- Make a payment to uni for fees
- Make a payment to credit card
- Phone the hairdresser to make an appointment
- Take DD to the stables so she can do some work with her ponies
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.

I sent the emails 🎉, one has been on the list since Christmas, the other since mid February!
Mortgage, paid off!9 -
The day started well but it's now hit rock bottom.
Yesterday I met my friend for lunch and a catch up and to exchange Easter goodies.
I had to get my Dad some razors so I then went to my parents and ended up staying there longer than planned. Hence nothing got done at home.
Today (in no particular order) I opened the upstairs windows to air through. Made my bed, sorted out the litter tray and swept the floor.
I did one load of washing, half went on the airer the other in the TD. Another load of washing was put away.
DW was unloaded and part reloaded.
Two mugs of Hot Cross Bun flavoured coffee drunk. Several video calls from DD2 received, as usual, she does it alot.
I then started making a batch of soup for the freezer. I went out to empty the food waste bin. Got talking to my next door neighbours and forgot about the soup til the smoke alarm went off!
I sorted all that out and put the DW back on. Burnt saucepan soaking in the sink.
Sometime after this I received another video call from DD2 basically telling me she'd just received a letter saying her landlord wants the flat back and she has til the beginning of June to get out. Why do these letters always come on weekends/holidays when you're not able to talk to someone about it?
She does have some rent arrears but has a payment plan in place for that. It's been very hard for her as she's on a 4 hour contract and can't guarantee what hours she'll have from week to week. She's had problems with UC due to earning too much one month and not enough the next etc.
Anyway, as I'm not in the position to help her financially and nor are my parents it looks like she'll have to move back in with me, which neither of us really wants. We get on so much better since she moved out after having troubles when she was here.
She is obviously very upset and says she doesn't care what happens to her as long as I can look after her cat.
I'm obviously not going to see her homeless but as you can all imagine this is now a very stressful time.
I've asked my friend if he can get DD2 some boxes as his parents own a corner shop which will help with packing up.
DW needs to be unloaded now and I'll have a go at scrubbing the saucepan but I don't feel like much else now, even my appetite has gone.
Thank you all for letting me unload, BTH I don't have anyone else really so it's nice to get my thoughts and feels out xx

I think I need to buy condolences cards in bulk. I started the day with a lovely lake swim, almost into double figures (9.9 degrees). Actually rewind - I managed to get to the PO before going to the lake, so SIL should get her birthday present on time.
Stopped at church on my way home to help clean etc for Easter. (if anyone wants to share the flowers, see link on my last posting if it works). While we were having a coffee afterwards, a message came through from one of our (very small) congregation to say that her MIL had passed overnight. We all put our condolences on the group Whats&pp.
Got home to find that our NDN, taken away by ambulance yesterday, died this morning.
While I didn't know J's MIL and wasn't more than a friendly neighbour to D, it still seems relentless and drags you down.
Anyway I did manage some small amount of garden flying and wrote a new task list for my ROD i.e. my study. Managed to do a few things from said list including sending an email and 3 e-cards for birthdays in the next couple of weeks. Started clearing desk. Threw away lots of now meaningless notes, meter readings etc.

Hi all
What a strange old week. I have been struggling with this cough/cold and juggling redecorating my home office with the paid stuff. I spent the whole day yesterday painting in my office which I am not particularly skilled at and my enthusiasm was waning. I must have said to DH a dozen times I wish we could afford to pay a decorator.
But today was a day off the decorating and a treat, a trip to the big city to meet DS2. DS1 came too and I was so looking forward to it. We managed lunch before DS1 said he felt really unwell, he looked dreadful. Cue a swift exit from DS2 and back to the car to get him home. Then lots of worrying about him. We have decided that he is very stressed and worn out, and of course refusing treatment for his Crohns doesn't help.
Then I felt guilty because DS2 is struggling with his house mate and work and I barely had any time with him, sigh.
Wwich sorry to hear about DD2, not easy being a parent of adult kids is it!
So, I am feeling decidedly discombobulated. Tomorrow is another day and I will hopefully get the office set straight!

So sorry to hear of your DD's predicament, wendywitch. It must be a very stressful time for both of you. Go ahead and offload here whenever you feel the need.
Narc0, we also have a very small congregation now, and even on a good day our church feels very empty with so many people gone within a relatively short space of time. Those of us who are left are struggling to keep the place going. The powers-that-be want us to start up all sorts of new initiatives, but most of us no longer have the physical or mental energy to meet their expectations.
I'm pleased to report that DH was sent home after only 3.5 hours in SDEC, with some familiar ABs which are unlikely to cause him problems and a big thick dressing on his leg. He was wearing cargo trousers which convert to shorts, so unzipped one trouser leg to allow the thick pad to be put on - he came home looking as if he was doing an impression of Long John Silver! Rosie was very pleased to see us both, and after I'd had a coffee and put my feet up for an hour or so (I may also have shut my eyes for a while) I managed to take her for a short walk before cooking our tea. It was and still is very windy out there, and the forecast rain has just started, so I'm hoping that all will be calm again by tomorrow morning. We're invited to DS1's for a roast dinner tomorrow evening, which will be nice - I mustn't forget to take some frozen apples out to defrost overnight so that I can make the crumble that I've promised to take with us.

Good morning all, and happy Easter.
I meant to post yesterday but given the lack of flying, it probably wasn’t justified. Beautiful flowers, Narc0, especially the dark lilies, such a lovely colour. Sorry to hear that your bad news just keeps on coming. GWS wishes to Mr Iona and to YL’s DS. Hugs to wendywitch. I always thought when DD was younger that parenting had to get easier. Different of course, but easier. Now I know that parenting an adult child is just as hard, just as YL says.
Still no flying to report here. Feeling very flat. It may be me and my sewing machine again today, although my heart isn’t really in doing that either, and then I know I will get sloppy and regret it. I need to channel the Action then Motivation feeling.
We are having a treat of roast lamb this evening. I can’t remember the last time that I bought, let alone roasted, a joint of lamb, so I will need to check out the timings. There is a bitterly cold wind out (thank you, Dave), so definitely a roast dinner weather, if that’s your thing. Personally it isn’t my bag, but DH will be happy.
Have a lovely day all, whatever your plans.
