Ironing done.
lots of phonecalls, including yet another from other party's insurer; told them I am not dealing with them ("but we just want to know if everyone is ok") - I didn't come up the Irwell on a Ryvita.
Got my hire car so I have had a pootle - 2 calls to son as car wouldn't switch off - I had to open the door to make it switch off and the first was to check the gears as they are different - one fewer and D is D/S. Brakes are a bit keen.
I'm also supposed to upload photos of my own car to an app…each photo is specific, has to be uploaded one at a time according to the specification and you can't take photos in the app so it's taking a while. Why there isn't a list of all the photos beforehand I don't know - you can't scroll through; the app won't let you so it's log in, read the description, log out, take that photo, log in, upload it, get to the next page, find out what is required…I took a load, got the first few uploaded then they wanted the mileage (which is 64000 - how neat) and now they want the VIN…if it's under the bonnet I might be in trouble as I am not sure it will open.
And now I've had a snarky text because someone emailed me re something where I volunteer and I haven't dealt with it. I have pointed out that, not only have I been busy but also that I 'work' on Wednesdays.

Morning all, I never managed to post yesterday as I was busy with lambing, so that pretty much took up my whole day.
My list for today
Attend uni lectureDo paid stuff (dog walk)- Finish sorting out my diary for April
Spend an hour sorting out uni notes- Make a start on planning budgets for the next 6 months
Load the DW and switch it on- Tidy away the pile of clothes that has collected at the bottom of the bed
- Make a payment to uni for fees
Take DD to the stables so she can deal with her poniesAttend the Spring concert at DS's school
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.

Not a lot of flying here…
Haircut had, bedding changed, washed and dried outside, HHI, HH admin x 2. That may be about the sum total. I’m not sure where the day went. I meant to clean the bathroom, so that is now a tomorrow job, along with today’s list.

My condolences @Narc0lepsy.
We were away yesterday on grandchildren duty which was fun but tiring. When we were nearly home we made a detour to the chippy for fish and chips and a conversation that didn't involve children getting louder and louder to get our attention away from their sibling.
A big load of washing has been done and mostly dried outside. It's on the heated airer for the evening just to finish it off.
More shredding done!

I'm helping organise the funeral of an elderly family member who died last week. Their next of kin doesn't do emails, online stuff etc so I can easily help them with that. The Gov tell us once form has been submitted and we have now got a date for the funeral. I'm trying not to let them become overwhelmed so will take a few steps forward each day.

all I have managed today is to get some washing dried, my shoulder/collarbone area started hurting last night. I'm wondering if it was the seatbelt. There's no bruising though.
But I have now finished watching The House of Eliott.
I'm in bed early with my book

Today I have tidied the study, set up my payments spreadsheet for the next 12 months, filed or decluttered loose papers as appropriate, emptied bins, walked Rosie, washed 2x all bedding plus a thick cotton bedspread off the spare bed and 2 cushion covers, shopped for food (hopefully enough to tide us over the Easter weekend), bought lots of stamps (possible because I didn't have to pay council tax this month), swapped two old and lumpy cushion inners (which have been binned) with 2 new ones that I thankfully hadn't decluttered when I decided that it was OTT to have 6 cushions on the spare bed, and made coffee sponges for my children and grandchildren. That's quite enough for one day!
I hope your shoulder settles down quickly, Valli - but if not, please go to your GP asap x. My worst ever mistake health-wise was not to get treatment for a torn shoulder until it was far too late for it to do any good.

Blackcats sorry to hear about your need for funeral arrangements. We've just been told the date of stepsister's funeral, which is a Thursday; our friend hasn't yet finalised M's funeral but the 2 dates he thought were both on a Thursday (different Thursday). Why am I mentioning this? My drumming lesson is on a Thursday and I pay in advance by the term……think I may see if they can cancel me altogether this term as we've booked a holiday in May so will miss a Thursday for that. Rats; the one day of the week I have something I pay in advance for………if both funerals clash, I'll go to DS and Mr N can go to the other.
Managed a gym swim this morning.
Posted a load of cards as I managed to get a parking space by the post office on my way to work.
Filled car up. EEK.
Did a lot of cross-checking paperwork with computer entries at work; hmmm quite a few tricky bits, not due to me I might add.
Got home to find Mr N had collected a large hired carpet shampoo thing and he'd done the lounge and hall. I retreated to the conservatory with a cuppa, a slice of lime polenta cake and my Kindle till I was allowed to walk on the floor again. Made a chicken risotto as I was allowed to walk on the kitchen floor.
My BQ voucher from T0pcashback doesn't work online, I tried to order the new lawnmower but no play. Mr N is going to take the voucher in to the shop tomorrow and see if they can exchange it for one which will work online.
Had an online chat with SIL and arranged a theatre trip with she and stepbrother.

Mmm
Afternoon all
Thought I'd posted on Monday, but found it in my phone notes (where I draft my ramblings) Doh!
Valli, those 'insurers' sound right dodgy, you're doing the right thing by refusing to speak with them directly.
So sorry for your losses Narc0 & Blackcats.
As for me, I've been having a good week so far 🤞 - been doing the usuals (airing/remaking bed, exercises, S&Sing, FUPA) every day.
I 'did' the kitchen on Monday and had an hour or so doing computer-y admin, mostly banking, recombulating budget etc. (move over R@ch3l).
Not much flying yesterday as I had dental appt for root canal, after 40 mins of injections, drilling & poking I was given the great news that the tooth is completely dead so wasn't worth continuing. I've a temporary filling and now waiting for appt to have tooth extracted 🦷.
DR/LR today, plus the usuals and also vacuumed everywhere. I also finished emptying/decluttering/flinging and merging 3 boxes of gibble into 1 box of 'needs further refinement'
Still using up my skincare free-sample stash, which is now down to 6 sachets (was 14) and 10.5 tiny bottles/tubes (was 11)
We've had our wills re-written and our overgrown/dying trees have been pruned/removed, which means two big things completed from my master list 🎉
I need a sit down...
