No, as you say you can't have two cards, so there is the need to switch. At some point during the process this was advised, I can't remember if it was on the Amazon page or the Barclays app. This part of the process was declined by Barclays, but it does seem I was accepted in the Amazon app. I'm optimistic now that it will be resolved through appeal, so thank you for providing that optimism.

If you were accepted for the Amazon Barclaycard in the Amazon app, I would be expecting £40 in gift vouchers to be in my wallet.

But yes, you may have to go down the official complaint route. 🙄

No, you can currently only have one Barclaycard (though some people may have two from when that was allowed).

Update for you. Barclays have contacted me today via text messages to advise that they have considered my case but I cant switch to the Amazon Barclaycard, however no reason given. I am still of course able to use my existing Barclaycard. So no £50 amazon voucher for me.

Advice given on the previous call is to use my card and apply again in 6 months time. I will do that and keep an eye out of there is another offer like this. Not using my Barclaycard (if that was the reason) has had an unexpected cost to me.

This has now dropped to £30, shame. I'll wait for a better offer to come around again before applying.
