When do you think energy companies will announce the 1st April prices for people on fixes?

Will be same for customers of all energy firms exception being firms who do not contribute approx £62 to ECO scheme costs mentioned within

Yes I think Fuse was one of the notable ones of those and there is the odd fraction of a penny difference between octopus numbers and the numbers in the MSE article. Might be due to rounding.

Just received email notification from Octopus that my fixed rate is falling by 3.51p/kwh as from 1st April 2026.

No email yet from Eon but their Flex Tariff drops by 3.22pkwh on April 1st.

If the Government had announced an increase in cost levies of £150 per year, would those on a fix be urging their energy suppliers to pass it on?

No. Of course not.
I think you are feigning ignorance and that you understand exactly what the issue is.

It is interesting that only the current c3p higher tariff is showing the full anticipated "budget" drop.
It certainly begs the question on why the old drop was lower - around 2.13p vs 3.51p.
You might for instance just specualte the 3p includes not only wholesale - but the new changes to levys like the electric share of the £69 on networks to be added in Apr - and so only leaves the budget cut outstanding.
And if so, that then begs the question of whether all current and previous rises in the duration of fixes - might equally cause them to show a lower discount ?
i.e. that if what goes down comes off bills - then what has also gone up also goes on bills.
Its not what folk are expecting (ML) or others hoping for - but thats how pass through normally works - its not sign dependent in favour of the customers.

TBF though. The idea on a fix is to protect users from fluctuations in prices. So it is a fair comment that should a drop in price be passed on?
Companies are going to do it, so it's a bit of a moot point.🤷♀️

When the whole point of the removal of levies was to benefit the consumer, not boost the profits of the energy companies,.then yes,.obviously it should be passed on.

But AIUI this isn't about fluctuations in price (which is why we fix), but government decision to remove certain costs from energy bills to general taxation.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)2
