Oh just found this post lurking, which was typed on Monday and clearly I didn't managed to press the 'post' button. Will update it in italics as I can't find how to get another colour. Thick fog for half the day. Well today was lovely.
Hope Pops gets home safely and comfortably. glad to hear that he did.
- did Body pump
- did Alexander lesson
- did zumba
Most of the in-between time was knitting. Have now finished one of A's gloves and started another. Still not sure I will finish before I see her at church group tomorrow evening - may end up knitting while discussing and she may have to sew them up herself! I did manage to finish them, sew them up and she was at church group and seemed pleased with them.
Mr N has a bad cold so we're desperately hoping I don't catch it; could accept visiting Mum if it isn't too bad, I weare a mask and I don't get too close, but certainly can't visit M. I've been encouraging him to rest and keep making him tea/hot lemon, then find he's washing up or something; incorrigible. He thought that he felt a bit better this morning so went to his gym class, didn't do much, got a couple of things from Mr L on the way home then changed the sheets and washed and hung out current ones. Then spent the afternoon on the sofa. Incorrigible as I said.
Answered a few emails and did minimal tidying.
OK now it is Wednesday.
- went to aqua aerobics
- went to 'work' and spent hours archiving.
- did a bit more of M's gloves. Rather worryingly, her husband did not appear for the 'biker boys'
old gitsZoom meeting which they always have on a Wednesday, and didn't message or phone Mr N to say why. It seems more and more likely that, if Mr N's cold doesn't improve, I'll just drive to DB on Sat alone, overnight stay, drive to spend time with Mum on Sunday then drive home again. Glad I'd paid the extra so I can cancel the Trave1odge near A&M. - Have now read several times a concerning email from DB as one of our stepsisters had a hip replacement some weeks ago but continued to have a lot of pain. She's now been back in hospital for a couple of weeks for investigation and - in the last two days - had been losing consciousness and needing dialysis. Seems she has now asked for no more treatment. We don't know more detail than that. Crikey is there anyone I know who isn't seriously ill?

After a marathon day yesterday when it felt as if I never stopped (most likely because I didn't!), I have not been particularly active today.
I phoned my ex-colleague whose husband died a few weeks ago, We have arranged to meet on 22nd for coffee and a walk in the woods at the NT property where I used to volunteer, which is only about a mile from her house.
J the gardener came this afternoon and has set out my 75p polyanthus plants and dug up dandelions and clumps of rampant oxalis.
I have finished the first sleeve of the baby's jacket that I have been making mainly at Knit & Natter (
using updecluttering another odd ball of wool) and have started the second. And I've begun sorting printouts and writing up the family history that I have been researching for friend T. It all needs to be done in a logical order and be ready for him by 25th, but at least I've now worked out how to do it - there is a complicated bit where T's grandfather re-married after his first wife's death, this time to the first wife's niece, so the children of the first wife are cousins to the second wife, as well as being half-siblings to the children of the second marriage!
YL, I hope you have a good journey to the conference with your work colleagues - hold your head high and be proud that you achieve more in a day than I ever do xx
Round, I'm glad to hear that Pops is doing ok - sending more Flylady vibes for both him and you xx xx
Sorry to hear that MrN has a cold. I hope you get to see your friend M as well as your mum, Narc0 xx
It's nearly Thursday already - where has this week gone? xxx

Morning all xx
I went to bed early as I was shattered, woke up a couple of times in the night to shove the duvet off (twot), and then to pull it back up (🥶), and woke up at the much more reasonable hour of 7am.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and removed cobwebs that I spotted on the kitchen ceiling while the kettle boiled for my first brew. Note to self: look up occasionally.
I'm going to a friend's for coffee at 11.30. I'll drop off DB's key on my way home. I'll tot up Pops' bill and drop it off to shut him up / get him off my back / prove I'm not demand avoidant 😙. I can pick up a newspaper and any other bits he wants - because I am nice really. Demand averse, but nice. That's me 😉
Get well soon to all the poorlies. Love and hugs to all. Have a good day. Be kind to yourself.

I like today's list @Valli, it suits my currently hippity-hoppity, but also lethargic thinking.*
Off to volly gardening job shortly, it usually helps stave off BD so should give me enough GUAG to tackle some flying this afternoon.
DW & WM both on, a good start

Up early to do the internet job that fried my brain yesterday and I think I've got it right but I've no way of checking, unfortunately. I may have uploaded a copy of my signature rather than the cat drug prescription I meant to. I can't tell. And the drug is a little bit more urgent than I thought, and it takes them 48 hours to review a prescription. I hope they confirm it's okay by email because they don't have a contact number. Whoops.
Made Boston Beans yesterday and realised when I tasted it that I'd misread the recipe. It said 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika and I read it as a tablespoon. Double whoops.
Am airing the duvets from the letting rooms prior to this weekend's arrivals. I know the double would have been okay over the washing line but it was raining, so I did that one in the kitchen over a railing. The superking was never going to be okay, so that's draped over the clothes airer and the railing and is humoungously heavy. It takes real effort to turn it every 12 hours. Still got the shower room to titivate but the rooms are ready.
Off to the F'bank this morning to do a bit more training of the new-to-me volunteer and then taking an elderly neighbour out to lunch at the garden centre. I may come home with some plants.

Morning all,
It seems that I forgot to post yesterday…
From memory (so this shoulld be fun then…) and in no particluar order: wm x 1, dw x 1, HHI. 2 hours admin including looking through an old pension. Current me is very grateful to 21 year old me who started contributing to this. Ensuite cleaned including a gunky bit that I generally do my best to ignore. DH showed slightly willing to come to the allotment, so I didn’t waste that opportuntiy. An hour spent moving frames about which is easier with 2 people. Dinner cooked, wudupa.I can’t remember who mentioned Diane in Denmark, but I thought I would have a quick search yesterday. I spent the first video confused that she wasn’t Danish🤣. Then I watched her videos on clothes sorting. This morning I have been trying on dresses (I started easy, as I don’t have many dresses). We have a wedding to go to later in the year, so thought it might be wise to see if the planned dress still fitted (it did, phew). One dress is weeded out and another is probably going to join it. Now that I have read the list for today, that all fitted in perfectly! Love the list, Valli.
Sticks for those lurking BDs, hugs to all, but especially to Narc0 and YL x

Appreciate the comments re the list; I find the longer I do this the harder it gets to ring the changes, though doing it fortnightly does add variety.
I'm going to town later; I have errands to do. I'm taking DD's ring, left to her by mum, in for repair and cleaning, going to another jewellers because earrings (both independents), bank, and I will drop in at the refill shop.Like many towns we have lots of empty shops so I like to support the independents if I can.
WM x 1
and DVDs for me. I think.

Excellent list Valli. I'm going to do the 'boxing up and putting away for a year' trick on things that I can't quite let go but would really like to see the back of for a variety of reasons. There are quite a lot of those things in this house and I'm at the stage of valuing space over stuff.
YL, I noticed that you mentioned about taking partial responsibility for something that had gone wrong at work. I do hope you and those that are in charge accept that mistakes happen - we are not robots, and we can't get everything right all the time. Please don't beat yourself up, or let anyone else beat you up (metaphorically, obviously) just because things aren't perfect. I hope it all works out okay, but most importantly, that you are okay.
Once again I've brought F'bank paperwork home to deal with because training takes me a long time. I hope the new-to-me volunteer is enjoying learning and that she gets the job she's being interviewed for so that she can combine the work and volunteering. I found a complicated muddle and spent so long working out what was wrong so that I could correct it that I ran out of time after the volunteer had left this morning, but that was actually the most interesting part of the session today. I over-stayed my welcome in the parking spot I had and didn't get a ticket so that was a win.
Spent far too much at the garden centre but got all of the lobelia, geranium and yellow pansies I wanted, plus a tray of wilting YS plants that just need some TLC, a lovely pot of three super-healthy looking primroses and some yellow begonias that I know will do well in a particular place on the sundeck. The only plants I couldn't get were the tomato starts, but the signage was up for them, so they'll be in at some point over the next few days. Yay!
I ran the DW before I left this morning, and vacuumed a bit of carpet that the dog had munched things on that she really, really shouldn't eat, but we can't stop her, and she always drops the cat litter where she munches it. *ick*

Still knitting, although the chances of going to see A on Monday are now remote as Mr N is still too ill to come down south with me so unless she really wants to see me, I'm not driving all the way alone. Seems I now have one friend and one stepsister on EOL care. I must be getting old.
- went to aqua zumba
- went to drumming lesson
- few bits & pieces from Mr T
- Have somehow misplaced the Mother's Day card I bought a while back, so need to seek that out asap.
- Messaged swim buddies to check they are still on for breakfast tomorrow. Yes!
- Came home from gym to find Mr N vacuuming the bedroom. Told him off. Lost cause. He then had to rest on the sofa for a while.
- Made a pizza using ground almonds and coconut flour, it worked ok
- Totalled Mum's refunds on her health insurance for the last 5yrs to see if it is worth renewing. Discussed it with DB.
- Various other admin tasks.
