Thank you for the lists. I was feeling rather smug when I realised that I was by chance nearly through the list. Houseplants and flowers sorted, then my job was to be builder’s mate and help DH to put up a stair handrail. All done with just the clearing up to sort put, only to find that the wall dust had escaped the dust sheets and seems to have marked the new stair carpet, the walls and the paintwork. Ensue much swearing when the dust wouldn’t dust away. Paintwork and walls sorted with a dusting of bicarb, carpet given the same treatment. I have just vacuumed it up and it is better, but not completely gone. I might try again tomorrow.
Mr M delivery sorted for later on the week. Menu plan done. Easy reheat of Saturday’s leftovers for tea as I have to go to a village meeting this evening. HHI ticked off, towels washed.
Fingers crossed that Pops is safely landed and on his way home.

One washload done and dried indoors, another dull and damp day. Dusted, polished and vacuumed through downstairs and up the stairs and washed the kitchen floor. Went out and got new laundry basket and washing up bowl, the first replacing one with broken handles and the second replacing a bowl where the plastic was breaking up on the surface. We had a walk and coffee too.
Tomorrow I'm booked to help DD2 in the garden. Must remember to take ibuprofen before I start!

My achievements this morning:
- S&S'd kitchen and started DW
- S&S'd bathroom
- made my bed
- WMx1
- PUPA in LR
- opened post and dealt with 2 things immediately - cancelled a DD and paid my car tax
- deleted umpteen payees off my bank app (why on earth does the original reference have to stay in the system as a separate item when I've updated it to something else?)
- emptied the Trash folder from my emails
- received an email from the person whose ancestors I have been tracing and responded immediately: date and venue now set for coffee and handover of all info
- closed the cloakroom and downstairs bedroom doors which DH (born in a barn!) left open as he went out to SW
- did a steady 30min walk with Rosie, half in sunshine, but into a biting wind on the way back
- drank coffee (and I may also have eaten a scone with cream cheese and marmalade…)
I have a couple of little office jobs to finish off before I put lunch on the table, then I'm off to Knit&Natter
Hope everyone's day is going well xxx

Today has been Admin Day chez Fayolle 🥱. List has satisfying number of ticks against it, so not a completely wasted day.
Bedding changed and washed, mattress vacuumed and bed remade. Washing hung outside to dry. Then a pigeon pooped down the clean duvet cover 🤬.
I think that has been the sum total of my day. It doesn’t look very much.5 -
Two washloads done and dried. Second bed stripped and remade ready to be washed tomorrow. Spent the morning doing DD2's garden. Three hours stripping off artificial grass from the border and then digging it all. She moved the "grass" into the garage for later disposal and pruned and tidied the shrubs, bushes. We now know what space is there and she can get some new plants, which is what she is having for Mothers Day.
I took ibuprofen before I went and then again when I got back and so far I'm not too bad. I have sciatica and arthritis so I'm relieved it's not worse!
Hope everyone's OK and Round has her Dad home safe and sound x

@Fayolle - what an annoying pigeon!
Today I have hoovered throughout - I'm sure the cat must go out, twist his paws in mud and dirt and then come in and make as much mess as possible.
DW unloaded and put away.
I've tidied up and cleaned the bathroom cupboards and so now I can be in no doubt that ido not need to buy shower gel, shampoo, conditioner or body lotion for a while - a money saving bonus.5
