Hallooooo xx
Pops arrived home safely thank you. I went to see him this morning as he went straight to bed yesterday. He still has to have an operation but it will be in this country now. He's frail but just being home has acted like a tonic.
And I've had the biopsy on the lump in my thyroid this afternoon. Bit sore now but I've taken some parrots.
Maybe now I can chill a little, enjoy my week off, maybe even fly. 🤔

@Roundtuit - wonderful that he made it back home. Sending hugs for him and for you to have great results on the biopsy.

Had a lovely lunch with my newest friend, who, weirdly I met at a funeral…so it seems appropriate that our next meeing will be when we go to a funeral of someone we both knew, we are going to travel together.
All laundry in off line and ironed.

@Fayolle It may not seem much to you but it's a lot more than I managed yesterday!
Glad to hear Pops is home, and that you're biopsy is over and done with Round. Fingers crossed and Flylady vibes for a speedy benign result.
I loaded the dog into the car to take it round to the tyres place for a couple of slow punctures to be diagnosed and patched. No, said Belovéd, the tyres don't need replacing, they're all fine other than that. It never occurred to me that I wouldn't just be dropping it off and walking the dog home. Two hours later, and £280 lighter, plus an interesting dog walk around an industrial part of the city we have four sparkly new tyres and I was tripping out of free rocket fuel caffinated coffee.
I also spied a large, heavy wooden thing dumped on the pavement that Belovéd would find extremely useful as a lecturn for one of his plays, so as soon as we were home I unloaded the dog and we zipped back there to declutter the street of a bit of gibble; he dropped me off in the city and I picked up some library books. I may have dropped into a charity shop and decluttered some useful items off their shelves, too on the way home. Other people buy wool and fabric, I seem to have an addiction thing going for kitchenalia.

Hallooooo xx
I met two ex-colleagues at Costa this morning for a catch up and a hot chocolate. Before I left I made my bed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, and WM x1.
Took Pops his newspaper and nipped back to Co-op for decaf coffee for him. I don't mind doing things like that but the constant need to let him know how much he owes me is tiresome. I've said I'll add it up for him and let him know. And I will. I've been awake since 4am maybe that's why I'm tetchy.
Honeybear...you made me chuckle tripping out on free rocket fuel caffeinated coffee. 🤣. Go see Pops- he has decaf 😉

I would happily go and drink Pops's decaff; thank you for the kind invitation although it would be a bit sneaky of me as I have a sufficiency at home if I'm honest.
Been to the dentist for a check up and he dealt with a cavity that we've known about since December, but ignored while he was dealing with the crown. Very happy with that, and it was chunk cheaper than I'd budgeted, so yay! My French Polishing course has been postponed to I don't know when, so that'll help the cashflow as well.
Collected various drugs for the animals from the vets on the way home. Must remember to dose the dog, get the cat's prescription filled and order more dog fud.
Dealing with paperwork now, and when I've got my mojo back I'll make some Boston Beans, pot up the yoghurt I made a few days ago, which will free up the sieves so I can then drain the mozzarella so I can grate it to go with some French fish soup for supper.
Glamorous life I lead.

Afternoon all
Been a bit lax with the flying due to sneaKy BD trying to overwhelm me, but I have been keeping up with the S&Sing, FUPA. Managed to hoover everywhere again yesterday. I've even decluttered a plastic bag of stuff which has been annoying me for weeks (months?). Finally emptied it out in the bed yesterday, amongst the gibble I found my toothbrush charger which was last seen in September 2025! No prizes for guessing what is on charge at the moment 🪥
As for The Rest of the Plastic Bag Gibble...
Around 30 skincare sample sachets - now in the bathroom cabinet awaiting use (used a few this morning)
8 Mini/travel skincare thingys - put in washing bag ready to go
Make-up application pad thingys - put in make-up bag
A tape measure - rolled up & put with away with others
Various ribbons & nice things to use on presents - rolled/folded & put away with others
Now I have half a shelf clear to put clothes away neatly, instead of cramming them in.
Today's positive actions...
Been for a walk, done exercises, opened windows, DW, WUDUPA, WMX3, Line dry, answered a text I've been avoiding
Hoping to do the bathroom later

Two washloads done and dry, all put away. Took DGD4 to school. Back home and we went to nearby small town where I got rid of a few more jigsaws, having prised them out of DH's hands. Had a walk by the river then a coffee in Waitrose. Had a sit down when I got back but after lunch I cut the grass. Got to pick DGD4 up from school in half an hour then she's back here for tea. Lovely sunny day but it's a brisk wind. Hope everyone's OK x

Hi all
Two very long days at the paid stuff so I finished early today, came home to do a load of washing and put it over the airer, gave the kitchen a good clean, ran the hoover around and mopped the floor.
Something has going wrong at work that is partly my fault but I seem to be getting 100% of the blame. Sigh. I don't need much encouragement to feel bad about things so I am trying to keep it all in perspective.
Tomorrow I have to drive 50 miles to a conference taking two work colleagues, which I am not looking forward to. The conference itself will be ok I think, its the driving I am not happy about. What a week!
