I am very, very proud of myself because, after doing hard work cleaning and sorting 2 wardrobes inside and out, and cleaning where they live I have gone to aother Outswim cancer session - because if we don't use it we will lose it and it's further away from home and I did it…I also eashed the china from the window sill and cleaned the window
so i have done maybe a third of the bedroom spring clean. I'm thinking it probably didn't get done last year what with the issues around the aged ps. Hoping to complete it tomorrow
Also I turned the heating off!
Washing brought in; DW and WM locked and loaded

Morning all. Won't be turning our heating off just yet Valli the garden thermometer says 5C at the moment. Yesterday was lovely!
One washload done and only my bathtowel left to dry. We had a walk round the block and were glad to get back and put the kettle on. Both feeling exhausted and not too good at the moment, still the same family worries plus another new one yesterday. None of which we can help, apart from sympathise, but it takes it out of us.
Hope everyone's OK x

I put the heating back on so it came on earlier!
Swimming stuff washed - it can wait until tomorrow to be pegged out. Going to try and finish my bedroom clean BUT I am reading this and it's very interesting.

Heating is off here! 🥶
I went out to get petrol this morning and took the opportunity to go into the old workplace for a coffee and a catch up. Now I feel that I really ought to make a token flying effort. Yesterday’s flying was all the outdoor variety as it was such a beautiful (and warm!) day. We have guests tomorrow evening, so I am hoping to get ahead with food prep later. Nothing too onerous planned to make my life easy.
Pollybear, I hope some of your family worries ease soon x6 -
Bed moved so it could be vacuumed under - was like Watership Down under there - partly, I suppose, due to the carpet being fairly new. Bedside drawers windowside cleaned out, bit of flingage has occurred and found a nice hanky with a V on while i was putting the handkerchiefs back in the drawer - both my grandparents had the same initial as me. Stuck a bit of trim back on one drawer edge, after a little battle with the gorilla glue. Sandwich eaten for lunch followed by an orange. Taking 5 then doing the other bedside cabinet then I will make the bed and consider whether I am going to finish the job today ot not - but the last bit will be much easier.

a final Friday flourish this afternoon. DH is cooking dinner so while he is busy doing that I've cleaned the shower screen, bath, sink and loo as well as cleaning the bathroom floor. This encouraged me to put my lovely new towels in the bathroom ready to use.
I've also dealt with my dad's paperwork, paid some bills for him and filed and shredded as needed. When I visited him earlier I changed the bedlinen for him and washed the set I took off.
my washing folded and put away.Dinner smells lovely and is being dished up now. Yay
Happy weekend everyone!

This morning I did the usual dailies and WMx4, which I have part TD'd and then hung up in the bathroom to finish drying.
DH took me out to one of our favourite GCs for a huge fish and chip lunch, after which I carefully sorted out 7 potted primrose plants for £10 (obviously much better value than the singles at £1 each!), 2 big bunches of daffs for 50p each and a bag of five nice oranges from the GC shop - unusually for that shop, what I wanted was all very reasonably priced today.
Back home, I started baking and have ended up with ten scones made to the NT recipe, two "bare cupboard" fruit loaves, a tray of Twinks, and two cranberry and orange sponges also baked in loaf tins. Most will go in the freezer in a minute, but a few Twinks and one of the cranberry cakes will be going to the coffee morning at church tomorrow, together with the leftover half of a banana and walnut loaf. I WULTD all the things that couldn't go in the DW
DH helped me re-make his bed and made another cuppa before he went out to war games club. I think he is trying to keep in my good books as he will be out at another model railway show all day tomorrow.
Rosie is being very attentive just now - she wants to make sure I haven't got another piece of fish tucked away in my handbag for her!
Hope everyone has an enjoyable and restful weekend xxx

So…that wall, that wall and this wall points have had all adjacent furniture cleaned, moved and cleaned under and behind. There's just that wall to do now. Tookit easy as I didn't want to get fatigued and it worked. So a nice, clean bedroom. I suspect I never got round to it last year, what with one thing and another. Bed made with fresh linen too. WM locked and loaded.
CS bag will be taken on Monday as the CS is on my route to the baths. If DD moves out next week I'll get that room done, too.

Front of all the kitchen cupboards washed, and the oven, then the kickboards, plus a bit of vacuuming. Not much, but it's better than nothing.
