I'm back from a few days away which was lovely. We stayed in a well equipped apartment so all our clothes washing was done and dried before we got home. Mine has been put away and DH's is work in progress.
Our bedlinen has dried on the line and I'm going to put it straight back on the bed after a cup of tea.
The bathroom has been given a quick swish around and looks presentable. Shopping done and put away and a kitchen cupboard has been re-arranged to be much more organised. Lesson learned (again) ramming stuff into the cupboard is never going to produce an orderly cupboard is it?

Afternoon all
Very little flying done today, whoops. I did change and wash the bedding first thing. Although the weather hasn’t been anywhere as near as sunny as yesterday, the washing still got pretty much dry. HHI also done. This morning a friend came round, which was nice to catch up. I finally made myself get back to a short pilates session, trying to get back to the slipped habits that I was into in September. That includes getting the weight back to the level it was then as well.
DH is out this evening, so it is a freezer hm ready meal (unearthed as part of yesterday’s freezer audit) for me and an evening as queen of the remote, also avoiding the news.7 -
Thank you for the threads, Natty and Valli. We got back very late on Saturday evening from our short break and I've not felt great since. Hopefully just accumulated stress and tiredness from a very packed but wonderful trip. Didn't manage too much on Sunday apart from seeing DS1 & family, a food shop and producing something edible for tea. Back to the paid stuff yesterday and I've started to tackle the laundry mountain, helped briefly at the community fridge last night and went to a Lent course at church after tea today. I've pared down the lists to what's hopefully manageable, although some will not be done until the weekend.
I hope everyone has a good week, poorly folk continue to improve and we can all support each other with whatever is coming our way.

Good morning all - it's a beautiful sunny start to the morning here.
On Monday DD rang to talk about her possibly coming here overnight yesterday, between her working days in Birmingham. Head Office had booked her a hotel room (at no cost to her!) in the city centre, in the same building where they are located, so that she could be ready for an early start today. We talked over the logistics and agreed that since she wanted to spend most of yesterday evening visiting her father just outside Millennium City, the extra travel involved made it a bit daft for her to come here just to sleep. As you can imagine, I was more than a little disappointed not to see her this time, but it was the right decision under the circumstances..
DH, Rosie and I had a lovely lunch yesterday with my DS2 at NT Croome which is almost exactly an hour's drive from each of our homes. DS2 was glad to be out in the countryside and Rosie and I needed a walk, so the three of us took the circular from the café down the hill to the house, then back up the other side and through the woods. It took us just under an hour to do 2 miles, including down a long hill and up again, which is a fair trek for me and Rosie (both of us getting older!) but so lovely on a warm Spring day. Meanwhile DH sat and had another coffee, and we returned to the café to join him for lunch. DS2 had to leave at 2pm in order to be back home in time for DGS4 coming out of school, so we got home early enough for DH to go to his model railway club. Meanwhile I spent the evening doing more research into a friend's family history.
Imagine my surprise when DD rang at 9pm, on her way back from her dad's to the hotel, to say that her last meeting this afternoon (i.e. Wednesday) had been cancelled and she had an hour and a half to fill between finishing work and catching her train back to London, so would I like to meet her for afternoon tea. That's my plans sorted for today, then! We are meeting at the station "under Ozzy's nose."
I have not neglected the Flying. Yesterday I hoovered through downstairs and emptied all the indoor bins, and this morning I am washing new bedding. I'd love to hang it out to dry in the sunshine, but I still haven't got a suitable airer/maiden or washing line, so the TD followed by the bathroom radiators will have to do instead.
Take care, friends, and I hope something good happens to each of you today xxx

Morning all
I have washing to peg out and I am going to my vol job. The costant sunshine has woken up the Flylady proper who lives in me and I am mentally planning a bedroom spring clean to include emptying drawers etc, moving furniture and cleaning under it. But not today.
DW also run.
I have to redo the spreadsheet with the food order for SD's 80th birthday Sunday lunch as we were sent the wrong menus. I now won't have a starter as I don't fancy any of the ones on offer and my preferred dessert isn't available either. Sometimes menus don't cater for people who don't like ice cream!

The damp patch I noticed in my office is a new thing, not last year's chimney repair failing. *sigh* The roofer says he thinks he can fix it from a tower, rather than needing to scaffold again. And it's in Belovéd's office as well. More £££ going out.
I've vacuumed the whole house and washed the kitchen floor, scrubbed the kitchen sink and washing up bowl. Looks a bit better.
Yesterday's visit to the vets with both cats went well. They haven't been seen since 2022 so it was good to get them checked out, and Higgs's teeth got the all clear which shows how feeding the right, specialist food can help with a health issue. The lovely vet thinks that Twiggle has a touch of arthritis which would explain the puddles which have now, thankfully, stopped. She's prescribed a NSAID which should show results within 48 - 72 hours. It looked as though the pain relief side of it had a fairly instantaneous effect last night, so I'm hopeful we've found what was causing the peeing in places where a cat shouldn't pee and she's no longer in pain.
Three loads through the WM and pegged out.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.10 -
