    Pink sounds very nice

    Dxx

(Ps if I ever came round for a cuppa I'd only need about an eighth of a tea bag 😆 sorry, in my humble opinion tea should barely have the strength to climb out tge pot 😆 🤣)

I like strong tea but I find with both usual Yorkshire and the de-caf, I can make 2 mugs from 1 teabag.

You don't like tea that matches the inside of the mug ?? 🤔 😆 😆 yes I'd leave you in charge of dipping, squishing, mashing etc in your own mug 😆 🤣 😂

I used to say my mum frightened the water with a tea bag, it’s fair to say she liked it weak 🤣 I don’t drink tea, apart from herbal, but I do like a good coffee and refuse to drink instant, life’s too short to drink bad coffee.

Two non-negotiable here - Yorkshire tea bags and Lavazza (blue) coffee beans. Like @Sun_Addict I won't drink instant - yuk! My DD1 on the other hand thinks that instant is "real" coffee, LOL. She'll only drink latte from our bean to cup machine when she's here!

The 1st of the month means interest has been added to my Chase savings accounts. £3.02 added to the emergency fund so that now stands at £1435.02. My savings pot for £5 Friday challenge has had 9p of interest. So total savings now stands at £1500.18. That feels good to have it at over the £1500 barrier.

at the moment I’m putting most of the money I’m not using for debts into my emergency fund as it’s higher interest, and I can’t quite get my head around all the different pots. That means that I will have to use it for things like car insurance which is due in July, and house insurance which is due in August, so it is going to fluctuate a bit, but in the meantime it’s earning 4.25% interest a month which is very nice!

I’m in bed with my strong cuppa Yorkshire tea. Today will be sorting the bins, our black bags are collected once every 3weeks, I can never remember which week they go out so I’ll have to wait to see what the neighbours do and then put mine out, or not!

One question for you knowledgeable people. I want to switch my car tax from monthly to annually, I’m thinking of April time as I will have had 2 months of not paying council tax. Is it just a case of cancelling the direct debit and then I’ll get sent a letter of how to pay and the amount?

I would have planned to switch to an annual payment when it’s time for renewal as I know they can add charges for any changes to a policy once agreed. If you want to do it at a certain point, perhaps contact them and ask?

Someone else may come along with a different answer though.

It's on the DVLA website. You will need to cancel the DD with your bank. You can drive until the next DD would be due but will need to pay for the annual tax on the 1st of that month as that's when annual payment is due so you may end up paying double the first month if your DD is mid month.

So if your DD is say 15th of month then you are OK to drive until 14th of following month but the annual payment must be paid on the 1st of that month.

By changing it to annual it will save you I think 5% which is the charge for paying monthly. You could add that extra to your savings!

    Hope that makes sense.
