Typicl bank holiday weather here, but I’ve now got 2 weeks leave and I really need this break. Work is hard when I’ve constantly got my own problems whirling around my head.
There’s nothing more to report on the police front. I guess it’s just waiting now for the CPS to do their job, which I know can be a long process.
I’ve been emailing CAB because I did a SAR on 2nd July and as of yet have heard nothing. My understanding is that it should be actioned within a month of the request. Two debts are now being handled by collection agencies on behalf of the client but I feel a bit stuck until I know exactly what has gone on between the creditors and CAB. I am going to send a CCA request to Advantis (acting on behalf of Next) today. I’ve had the account since 1996, so maybe they don’t have the credit agreement which will make it unenforceable.
I’m still building the emergency fund in the meantime, however I have booked a cheap break away which is probably frivolous and not at all MSE, but with everything that is going on, I just feel the need to get away. So, my first solo holiday starts on Tuesday.
I had a work email last week saying that a 3.3% pay rise has been agreed, backdated to April this year and will be in the October pay, so from my, or should I say Chat GPT’s calculations should see an extra £600 ish in that months pay. Thatt’ll go straight across to the emergency fund which is paying 4.25% interest until December, then I’ll have to either look around for another high interest account or hope Chase give me another offer.
I need to go out in this rain this morning to collect my prescription, other than that, I think it’s definitely a day around the house sort of day!
Find a little bit of joy in every day.
