If you google "Heidi Daniels HSBC", you'd know why anyone would complain about her.0

Customer service advisors who work in the finance industry and have not got a clue what they are talking about, i think most of the people on here have a better clue.

Since then, they've held and provided "white data" as well (i.e. your stream of Us and 0s on your credit report).
So "black"=bad, "white"=good ... hmmm ...The banks can therefore now look at someone's history or lack of it to make a lending decision, based on the experience of others. No, people don't get made redundant on purpose, but unless you add a Notice of Correction to your file explaining as such nobody will know about it - banks will just see the "1"s and "2"s and think "no bloody way".So if you DO have a legitimate explanation for your missed payments etc then it would be very much worth your while to contact Experian and Equifax to just add a little note to your file to explain your circumstancesHSBC, back on topic, appear to be rather more trusting, basically assuming the best and going on their own experiences with customers for decisions. Hence how people can get decent services off them even without trying.Imprudent granting of credit is bound to prove just as ruinous to a bank as to any other merchant.

Er, thats the alleged experience of others according to the database of a third party - is it not?
No, it's the actual experience of others as reported to a third party whose bread and butter is ensuring that they receive and provide correct information. Lenders don't just maliciously add missed payments to peoples' credit files for a laugh; if there's something you think is wrong, then dispute it. Can't just say "Well, Experian might be wrong!"0 -

You'd think this, wouldn't you. Have you ever tried to get Equifax to fix something? It can take months. :rolleyes:0 -

I Have been at the mercy of the latter mentioned, it took over a year to get ID fraud sorted, 93 linked addresses, defaults all over, not mine but just goes to show how much damage these f****rs can cause with there "insight" data. They are not responsible for putting the data there in the first place, and consequently they cant delete it either, the lender must instruct them first in writing i.e. fax or email/snail mail etc, after the 6 year period all good and bad data is void and then deleted, this is law and they do have to adhere to it.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

Well perhaps you could give Equifax a ring and let them know this. I've jsut spend the last week trying to get them to remove a default that was paid over 6 years ago from my file.
According to the woman on the phone all the info given on their online service is wrong. The default date, the settled date, the date of the last payments but there was nothing she could do about it.
I have little confidence in them and their data - and neither do tehy according to the woman on the phone. :eek:0 -
They have a legal obligation to remove the data, tell them don’t ask them to remove the data and if they dont budge tell them you will contact your legal advisor and the national press, threaten the b******s, don’t give up with this because you are in the right here, good luck.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? Right, told today that my score will be updated on 7th of the month and that to get my score up I need to not go OD (which I dont) and also not miss any payments on my loan (never missed a payment) so by rights my score should be way higher than 38?! I need to get to 40 so that I can get my switch card back, how long do you reckon that will take? Ah I can still remember when my score was over 70, but then I had no debts then.....0
