Ruby and Haylibo-I agree -it should be basic human right to be told your parents name if that info is known.Celtic Star-she was/is v abusive hence my estrangement. I havent seen my mother for 16 years. If my birth cert doesnt shed any light on my fathers name i shall have to forget about it- i suppose I shall have to put it in the hands of fate
