Afternoon all. One washload dried indoors. Dry this morning, luckily, as we met up with both DDs and went for coffee and a walk. This afternoon it's back to normal - pouring with rain and so dull I had to put the light on. Apart from normal meals and clearing up not much done and I don't intend to look for something to do. Not a very good night, kept waking up and having "busy" dreams in between. Those where you're trying to find your way or clear something up or look after somebody (usually a baby) who is nothing to do with me. Yes, I know, weird brain!
Hope everyone's OK x

Dailies, admin, long dog walk and exercise done. I've changed bedding so second load is in machine. And that's it. I am soooo tired so I'm going to have a lie down for an hour.
Spend less now, work less later.8 -
we have 2 big decorative light bulbs over one of the kitchen windows which I took down and cleaned today. They look lovely and sparkly now.
Tidied and cleaned the cupboard that stores the sauces, jars, herbs and spices as well as our vitamins. I made up this week's box of vitamins and remembered to take today's.
Cleaned inside and outside of the microwave and the air fryer.
I'll clean the kitchen floor after we've cleared up after dinner and before we sit down for the evening.

Have been feeling very over-whelmed lately and not too brilliant physically so I've taken a big step back and tackled some issues that were really bothering me. Managed to send seven cards to people that I needed to contact, a couple of emails that have been on my mind and an airmail handwritten letter to my cousin in America who wants to come to the UK in May and us to spend a week together, fine, but she's now decided that her original dates don't suit her so she's coming later in May after all. Not at all fine. I have plans for later May, and plans for June that I need to be bright-eyed and bushy tailed for, so I can't be doing something every day for the last three weeks of May. I don't want to offend her, she's 85 and this will probably be her last UK visit - she was born here and emigrated by her mother against her will when quite young so she feels a deep attachment to here, but still, I too have a life.
Had a quick trip to the pharmacy to hunt down some statins that have been difficult to extract from them for months and months. I think they're very over-whelmed by the amount of work and apparently the internet system they use is down to notify people but honestly, I'm so glad I didn't go in all guns blazing. They were so lovely and kind and helpful.
Thence to the GP surgery to tackle the problem from the other end, sorted very quickly and to my great relief. But the poor, poor receptionist was having such a horrible morning she was in tears and very upset, so we had a lovely chat about how vile some people can be, and when we're upset by how vile they are it really, really doesn't help when colleagues say, 'You have to understand how worried they are.' I used to want to punch colleagues lights out when they said that - all I wanted them to say was, 'Horrible for you, have a cup of tea.' So, other than give her a cup of tea I offered to go and get her some flowers and she perked up. No flowers actually necessary.
Have flown, boring things, but some areas are cleaner.

Today, in no particular order, I have
- PUPA
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- emptied bins
- made my bed
- made several phonecalls
- sent several emails
- drafted 2 other emails which need attachments that aren't ready yet
- WMx2, half-TD'd, now drying on the bathroom radiators
- decided against cleaning DH's bedroom while he was out as he had not cleared his rubbish
- booked my car into the workshop for next Wednesday, as there is something wrong with the ABS
- walked Rosie
- watched some of the Olympic skating, interspersed with a few zzz because I didn't sleep very well last night
- cooked and ate my tea alone as DH was late getting home from playing 009 trains
- taken DH's car to go to the NT group AGM
Quite a few things have been crossed off my "to do this week" list.
9 -
- gym swim via a ridiculous number of road closures and road works
- 'work'. Was walking towards entrance when I had an email from our usual church group hostess; her mum sadly died so could someone else host the group this evening. Rang Mr N to check that we could.
- Left 'work' in time to drop into C00p after agonising over whether I should make cakes; I usually do if I'm hosting but after the weekend of enjoying cooking for BIL, I couldn't face rushing home to do it.
- Got home and between us we had a blitz on flying although it wasn't too bad after our weekend visitors.
- That's about it really as the rest of the evening was eating hastily and I just thought I'd have time for a quick drum practice before the first of our group arrived; managed about 2 mins before the early one arrived.
Tomorrow my ultrasonic cleaner should arrive - I ordered a cheap one to clean Mum, Grandma and MIL's jewellery. Mr N and BIL were going through MIL's at the weekend so we can assess what is charity and what should be taken for valuation.

Dog walked, breakfast scoffed, dog's kong stuffed and put in the freezer for tomorrow to keep her amused in the car in the multi-story car park in A N Other Town while we go and eat breakfast elsewhere. She's a bit of a nightmare when we're eating out (working on training but it's slow going) and I don't need that on the day of a funeral.
Belovéd and I have chosen our posh frock/suit and tried them on. His is a weensy bit tight around the middle so he's going to get changed in the car to the tight trousers after I suggested it's going to be a long day and he doesn't want to feel he's being cut in half for 10 hours. I'm still debating shoes - comfortable trainers with posh clothes or actual shoes with heels. I fear I will have to do heels while he's in the tight trousers. At least we'll both be uncomfortable at the same time. Now to bone up on (now adult) children's names and interests. Does anyone else have to do homework for funerals? Is it bad form to admit it to Flyladies?
Wordle in 4, all four lines on Connections and Strands with no hints. An unusual full house.
Today I am going to cross off a lot of niggling jobs from the Very Longstanding List of Admin. There's a reason I've been procrastinating over them.
WM x 1 even though the forecast is rain. I'm running out of dog towels and as they've been used to clear up mistakes they're beginning to honk. Double spin and make the place look like a Chinese laundry, but needs must.

Afternoon
Feeling out of sorts at the moment. Over thinking things and stressing which I think lead to me having a mini seizure on Sunday evening.
I don't remember if I've already posted most of this or not but so far this week I've S/S the kitchen, done several loads in the DW and WM including all the cat bedding which seems to have upset them a bit. Put the WM on a clean cycle. I've finally put all the washing away. I've hoover the landing, stairs and hall. I've also made a batch for soup for the freezer. I'll be doing another one later.
After lunch I hope to do some more bits in the kitchen and clean the bathroom.
