what dies it matter if you have been happily living there.
It obviously hasn’t bothered you up till now.
If it the smell of dogs you dislike and you have / do not smell them in your house what is the problem?
It could have been a house rabbit that chewed it. Would that make a difference?

If you didn't notice when viewing it's probably fine. Worse case is you'll want to replace the carpets sooner than you'd otherwise plan to.

Yes the germs of urine and dog smells as i dont have a dog. Was a family i believe before so who knows what germs. Ive been advised to go for it. If I had to sell again id have to find reduce deposit or buy cheaper to cover all these legal cost. The plan would be paint and maybe new floors so it would sell for more regardless. Sadly I’ve been unable to find the history of my previous two properties. I need the extra space so feel I have to go for this house

and the ocd came from googling pee under the floor boards and smelling house out but I guess if it’s cleaned? I did view another house same street never noticed the dog either. But I never knew my 1st or 2nd house had a dog that’s the issue..couldn’t worry knowing it had a dog I worry more

As do builders (thinking of a previous thread about newbuild construction site practices…).

I don’t have any myself or pets. In the end I’ve pulled out sadly. I admitted there could have been dogs in my old flat or this house but I changed all floors on both. I cant deal with it being on the day exchange and move out. I zoomed and seen bedroom carpet stains and they never wanted me to take shoes off so maybe having dogs house isn’t as clean as i hoped. Sort of annoys me if I ever lived in a house with dogs but have to move on. I had no idea until google AI you need to remove curtains carpets and sub floors can have pee smells. I know thats dramatic but it does say 6 months atleast to remove smells. Had i not googled my wife said what if a dog has peed in house I tried to ignore it and say its fine but sadly not

And you do realise that AI makes things up and is not an entirely reliable source of information?
How come if the carpet stains are so bad you didn’t notice them when you were actually standing on them.?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

AI is telling you the worst possible case, risk of having to remove curtains is vanishingly small. If you've been in the property and not been put off, the same is the case with floor boards.
When you next find a property you like, please don't google it!Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️, DH: 🏅🏅⭐️, DD1: 🏅 and one for Mum: 🏅1 -
You will never buy a property.
You are looking for all of the excuses in the world to not buy.
