    Good spot, the conditions seem to have changed. I opened one shortly after it became available, and I don't live anywhere near the West Midlands.

    16p, not a big loss.

    I normally send a cheque with postal applications. I have £500 overdraft with First Direct, I get notification when the cheque is cleared and bring my balance back to £0, so no loss of interest.

    i.e. one on 15-Jan-2026 and another on 30-Jan-2026

    Well on mine 15th Jan was a debit but 30th Jan was a credit.

    That's my experience too, sometimes even quicker.

    My notes, the details of which I presumably found in the T&Cs, says:

    Weekdays, before 8pm, should appear within 2 hours, or definitely before cob the next business day
