Progressive down for maintenance. Launch day accounts mature today. Potentially doesn’t bode well.

Issue 1? Launched on 14/09/26?

"Scheduled maintenance" rather than a random issue, so it's not good planning as they would have known accounts were maturing today.
From my maturity email, it looks like it rolls over to an easy access saver the day after maturity, so interest might not be added until the close of play today anyway.

Scottish Building Society RS
I opened this on 06/10/25. Now showing online as matured into Easy Access. Interest of £100.50 has been added (£250 pcm saved for 12 months, 6.5% until late January 2026, then 6%).
I am taking out all except £1 from Easy Access to maintain membership.
No suitable replacement from SBS at the moment.

Still rankles that ScotBS dropped that rate by .5% 2 months after launch despite the BoE cut only being .25%.
And the implied freebies arising from their sponsorship of Edinburgh Rugby never happened.

Interest was added yesterday (apparently), just checked via 'phone.

My email actually said matures yesterday, conversion today which I thought was the clearest way of doing it in that the 6.75% rate stopped applying at midnight with today being exactly a year since the first accounts were opened. Some others you are told matures x but when you try, you find you can’t actually get the money plus interest until a day later (YBS, Monmouthshire pre app etc.)

Good to know the Easy Access can be kept with £1, it was £50 for the RS.

Yes, disappointed with the rate drop.
I don't remember any implied promises about rugby freebies but I'm not a rugby follower so probably would not have paid attention.
I double-checked the terms of the easy access account into which the RS has matured and definitely £1 minimum balance.
