I've never had a payment into HEBS or any society using the same platform show without initially having an asterix against it.

Hanley - I was going to throw caution to the wind and also send a 13th payment but on checking my account I had already set up the SO to send a 13th payment so its been sat in the account since yesterday.
I also noticed the maturity instructions set to default to an instant access but I suppose there is still time for Hanley to announce a replacement product.
Tipton save and grow branch - the never ending saga continues. Having totally ignored both mine and OHs application on the 8th via email - no acknowledgment at all, I messaged them via my Tipton app. Point blank the assistant said I could not have a branch version as well as the app version. I then asked why OHs application had also been ignored, new customer, and she said to send it by post directly to her and she would accept the application. That was on the 21st, posted the paper form the same day. Only today has the cheque been cashed but still nothing by post or email to say the account has been open …

Scottish BSFrom the website or the app?

I did cancel and redo it beforehand (needed more money to include the Chase RS) but the one that went ahead was the app. Website didn't seem any different though, except for autopopulating the Scottish BS account number as the reference.

Coop RS
Can a Coop RS be 'refreshed' ? ... if so, what is the method ?
I've read the T&C's .. not very enlightening. The only thing I remember about opening a Coop RS is that it seemed to take forever, and ditto with the current account.

I don't think there is an easy way to close it. Perhaps you can phone them to do it. It does take a while between applying and the account being opened.

Why would you want to? The account is 'Easy Access' and the interest rate is variable, what would you achieve (other than taking some interest)?

Moving the maturity date to a more favourable time of the year, fear that it could go NLA so wanting to secure the account for as long as possible, there's a few reasons why you might want to refresh a RS, even if it is at 7%.
From my point of view if I'm going to be making a withdrawal so the account has a low balance anyway, I might as well refresh the account where it is still available in order to push the maturity date on as later in case it goes NLA. This has served me well in some cases, to look at recent examples I now have a Monmouthshire BS RS Issue 8 at 6% maturing at the end of September 2027, Newcastle BS's RS Issue 1 at 5.15% maturing in late August 2027, Manchester BS's RS Issue 1 at 5.4% maturing in late August 2028 among others despite the first 2 going NLA within a month of opening and the latter being made branch opening only within a week or two of me re-opening it.

Hanley
The £25 sent 1st, dated 2nd in the account, now has no asterix, the £275 sent yesterday, dated today has an asterix. Fingers crossed these stick.
