This morning, my Principality login code arrived in split seconds, like it should 👍
Let’s hope they have fixed this problem for good

Does COP work instantly?

With Principality there is a delay until COP works on new accounts.

Issue 5 open, funded, SO set up, all within 10 minutes.
My bank FD, warning reference not recognised.
Went ahead as this is usual.
Number matched my screen shot.

I don't bother with CoP. Just send £1, and if that arrives send the rest. Although with Principality, due to the number of accounts I've got with them, I've got an easy access account which gets a lump sum sent to it from where I distribute to all my other accounts with them
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
Please can someone explain to me the benefit of closing a Principality Building Society Regular Saver Issue 4 account and opening a Principality Building Society Regular Saver Issue 5 account.
Many thanks in anticipation.

I believe the idea was to close issue 4 and open a new issue 4 ( restarting 6 month term ) and then open a new issue 5 alongside ( when it was released). Thereby having two almost new accounts , so the ability to save 400 per month for next 6 months at 7.5% fixed. Now that you cannot open a new issue 4, that opportunity has passed ( I believe)

Now ie today there is no benefit, Yesterday you could of had a new issue 4 & an Issue 5 today.
Today you can only get an issue 5.

Handy tip with Principality is to open an easy access account and do all your regular saver transfers via that. For any future regular savers, you won't have to wait for CoP. However if you haven't already got the EA account, you'll have to wait for CoP for that account, so won't help on this occasion. Useful for future issues though.
Principality allow you to open one of each issue, so if you opened an issue 4 yesterday and an issue 5 today, you can deposit up to £400 a month over the two accounts.
Other providers (Nationwide and Virgin spring to mind) bring out new issues from time to time, but won't allow you to have more than one regular saver of any issue at the same time.

Can anyone confirm how long the issue 4 was in place for? I know it will be on the thread somewhere, but I'm hoping that someone will have a note to save me trawling back!
