Issue 4 was released mid to late August 2025, so nearly 6 months ago. I opened mine on 28th August 2025.

My issue 4 matures on the 28th Feb… just looking back 28th August 2025 was a Thursday so think it was then

Me neither but, as the post above mine already said the same thing, I didn't see the harm. Besides, I expect it would add a lot of extra admin for staff to manually check all new applications to see if the applicant has already chosen a similar renewal option for a maturing account. At the end of the day, if it's rejected, I'll lose about £8 interest by having to put the money elsewhere so it's hardly the end of the world.

Standing orders Feb 28th 2026
If anyone funds their Regular Savers by standing order on 28th of the month; due to the weekend they are likely to be paid NEXT MONTH ie in March.
(I have a couple of minimum payments go out 28th as this is pay day and usually safe.)Issue is:
a) missing a monthly payment (Ts&Cs)
b) overpayment in March
