that's what I am doing. If you withdraw before 2pm today, the money will be in your current a/c by 4pm.

Does this also apply to closure, ie, if I close the account by 2pm, I would get the balance by 4pm?

Yes just closed and reopened immediately 👍🏻

ZOPA
I'm thinking the same as @friolento - a CS rep has forgotten which company/script they are supposed to be representing/reading from and has misspoken.

Can we please identify which institution we're talking about on each post please.
Currently we have a lot of posts of Monmouthshire and Zopa and it's tough to know the difference.
It helps us who want to skip over one or the other or both.
Thanks

Yes if it is your only/oldest Monmouthshire account, otherwise closure to be actioned today will be fine.

Mine Maturea Sunday so my understanding is I will earn interest on that day so will withdraw on Monday. Is this how others understand it?

Zopa
From another forum, my understanding is that Zopa are dropping their RS as part of a wider refresh of the benefits which come with their current account. In future it will be a choice of things like a free coffee, cashback or credit interest.
However, they have mishandled the launch which means some customers have had sight of it, before it has formally launched. Not helped by them trying to roll out an app redesign at the same time
All off-topic for this thread though

Zopa
I'm sure they'll 'benefit' some, but not me. Much better off with the RS…Ah, well. Maybe time to drop Zopa altogether once my RS comes to its end and there isn't a comparable product launched by Zopa.1 -
On Monmouthshire (apols if this has been discussed previously) is it £500 per calendar month, ie £500 on 31 August and another £500 on 1 September is OK?
