If anyone wants/needs to log into Principality, I've just been successful at 10am Tuesday. There is at least a message now before you try logging in to make you aware of the issue.

I tried to sign in shortly after reading this, 10.15am or thereabouts and the code arrived 3 hours later. Just tried again and got the code in a couple of minutes.

The banner message once signed in notes that the problem is intermittent. As keen as I am for the new accounts to be launched, I hope they wait until it's properly sorted before going live.

ETA User error, I paid twice

Sorry, I've just spent 15 minutes trying to find the finer details for the Furness 160th Anniversary account on the thread, but can't. I opened this account on 21st Jan, tranferred £160 in on that date, and again on 3rd Feb. Today I've just had £160 appear in my linked bank account with the account number of my 160th Anniv account. Both payments I've made to Furness still appear in my account.

Do they work on calendar month, is that why a payment would have been returned? At the moment I think I've got the same £160 appearing in both Furness and Santander.

Best guess is that the 6 month regular saver issue 5 will be available later this week. Whether Principality delay this while they sort out the log in system remains to be seen.

If the issues continue, no need to panic, as I doubt the new issue will be pulled quickly. It'll probably be around for a few months. I wouldn't waste too much time trying to open issue 5 on day 1, if it isn't working straight away I'll try again the next day.

I opened and deposited on Jan 21st and then deposited again on 3rd Feb no problem so not calendar month no. I haven’t had any funds returned and both deposits are sat in the account as of just now (just checked).

Did you deposit twice by accident, hence one showing and one returned?

if it helps, my two payments show the same dates and at the time of typing this, the second payment has definitely not been returned to the current account it came from - Furness is showing £320 for me too.

Deposits are per calendar month, so both your 21/1 and 3/2 deposits should have been accepted. Can't see why either would have been rejected.

From my recent experience, balances are slow to update (deposits take a day or two to show), so that may explain why the money that was returned to you is still showing in the Furness account. It'll probably be deducted fairly soon.

You get the gold star. Payment made twice by mistake. Standing order and manual payment. Don't know how I managed that, £160 is pretty easy to spot unlike all the £200 and £250's.

I want to open an issue 5 as soon as it’s possible, due to an issue 3 & issue 4 maturing on the 28th.

I would love to have 3 issue 5 accounts this month.
