Ecology
Thanks to the OP for this. Just opened and as someone who has worked in IT all of my life, I’m impressed with their set-up, especially as I understand they are quite a small outfit.Application - Quick, efficient and intuitive (less than 5 mins).
COP - Immediate recognition from my Bank for my new account.
Transfer - Immediate, and I mean instant! Didn’t even need to log out/in to see my £200.
App - Again, simple but does the job.
This is how you do it and I wish them every success with the product.

I'll take back what I said about Ecology's terms being clear. The "calendar year" bit must be a mistake, surely the maximum balance is for the full term of the account and doesn't reset in January.

It will be probably be pulled today - after the staff get into work and find they have had X thousand applications overnight, a third of which need ID checks!

My application for Ecology in the app ended with them saying I'll receive an email within 2 working days as they might need some more info. I don't know why since I have never had a problem with id verification elsewhere.

Ecology BS RS: Lloyds Classic CoP warning
I opened an Ecology BS RS yesterday and every attempt to fund the account from my Lloyds Classic account yesterday and today using correct details, in one instance copied & pasted, produces Confirmation of Payee (CoP) warning We can't check these details (see message screenshot below):
A Lloyds Bank telephone customer service staff member also received the same warning when they tried.
I'm currently continuing to pursue how I can fund the Ecology RS from my Lloyds Classic account with a successful CoP check.

Welcome to the world of AML checks and KYC rules. Sooner or later you will be required to supply ID via some method to someone.
One savings group actually told me that even with those who could have their ID checked by electronic methods sometime get caught as the system randomly chooses the odd one every now and then for full ID checking

Ecology CoP from Lloyds
Yesterday I had the same. I just told it to proceed with the payment anyway and Ecology's app confirmed receipt a few seconds later. Just check and triple check that you've entered the correct account details.

Obvious thing, does your profile on Ecology show the correct linked bank account details?

Yes it does

The Lloyds warning is just a pause page to make people think before proceeding with a new payee. So many scams now trick people into transferring money, all Banks are doing it, especially because of their liabilities now in having to refund for APP fraud.
COP should be confirmed before this screen, in which case just continue. It’s nothing to worry about unless you’re being scammed.
