I called today as there was a delay in my funds too. I made a withdrawal this morning but didn't get my funds till 5 pm. When I called in the afternoon they said they'd been very busy today and funds may take up until 7 pm to arrive, but should come today.

Part of the reason for the turnover of posts being so high, is that you get the same questions being asked over and over again.
It seems far easier for some people to post a question, without reading some of the previous posts, or looking on the relevant bank or building societies websites, where they could have found the answer for themselves.

BoS regular saverWhile some have reported success in closing and re-opening BoS regular saver[s], I have not had any luck in the past, and daren't try it again. Essentially, I was not allowed to open another RS for a full 12 months since the one I had closed (after emptying)…as per the T&Cs.

Thanks for the info. Still nothing arrived for me and OH and had to fund other regular savers with my Santander Edge funds and if I am not mistaken Satander deadline is 8pm for same day interest. Meaning that if funds not land in the next 25 min I can't replenish Santander and fill Cahoot accounts for same day interest resulting in a loss.

Plenty of people on here including myself have recently closed their old BOS RS, well before maturity, and then opened the 8% one without any issues.

It seems to have been a case of YMMV with BoS for as long as I can remember.

You seem to have been very unfortunate. None of the many posters on here who requested closure of their BOS RS since July 15 did report that their 8% BOS RS application has been rejected. May be the BOS app/online got updated since your unsuccessful attempt.

Just spotted there's a new Lloyds/ Halifax Monthly saver at 8% fixed but as I already have a Club Lloyds monthly saver I can't apply for it, v annoying

BoS regular saverYes, I'm aware. But with my own past experience and a 'chat' with an agent the other day — who said in no uncertain terms that I was not eligible for the 8% no matter what I do — I've decided to stay with the 5.5% one, not least as it has just four months to go…

SIGH. These accounts have been available for at least two weeks now, and have been extensively discussed in this thread.
If you read back over the last umpteen pages, you will find that you can close / renew your Lloyds and / or Hali RSs and open the 8%er. Whether this would actually work to your advantage depends on how much you have already saved up in your existing accounts.5
